British Penetration, Nov. 29, 2009
It was sunday night and after an interesting set of maps, qinling came on. Displeasure crept through TS channel but we learned that it was Qinling 32! There were three devils on at the time, Biggayal, Nardini, and myself. We decided to split our leadership into three squads. Al ran an APC squad while Nardini and myself led infantry squads. AL will be marked as blue, nardini as red, and myself as green. I apologize as I forgot most of the names of the people in my squad. If you were there, thanks for doing a great job!
Phase 1: Rollout

Rollout was interesting as we failed to realize that we didn't have Warriors. Instead we had a bunch of Scimitars. We managed to make it to to the first flag (village objective) with three land rovers and a Logi truck. We immediately came under heavy APC contact upon crossing the river. We took cover behind a hill while Al's Scimitars took out the enemy APCs. I moved my squad West and set up a second FB.
Phase 2: Defensive Penetration

After setting up my FB, my squad came under contact from enemy infantry moving along a ridge to our SE. I dispatched a Land Rover which was taken out by an enemy LAT. After taking heavy fire from both oncoming forces and the tallest peak to the South, I decided to fall back to a northern hill while Al came in and engaged the enemy infantry at range. In the fall back position, we endured a difficult and lasting firefight with the hostiles on the peak while Al supported Nardini on a push South along the ridge. Memorable quote during the game "I'm going to pull back now Google, I think I just raped like 70 virgins" -Al. Sadly we lost one Scimitar during that assault.
The friendly push was going strong and I decided to go on a wide flanking manuever with the cover of a Western ridge. During this flanking movement, my HAT took down an APC that crept up on us from the Western edge of the map. By the time we had finished the flanking manuever, Nardini and Al managed to take down the enemy Firebase.
Phase 3: Further Penetration

Nardini and Al moved East to the hills surrounding FOB and set up a Firebase. My squad received a helo ride to the FOB where we too set up an FB. We had a friendly firebase and forces by the temple which was assaulted by enemy infantry during our movements. Al and Nardini retaliated and removed the area of the hostile presence.
Both infantry squads then moved to a hill to the East of FOB while Al trailed us. We saw nothing up ahead and advanced to a shallow but large burm in front of the ridge objective. It was here that we came under contact and Al's Scimitars led the charge and took the offensive, allowing the infantry squads to rush through no man's land up to the ridge. We then cleared the area and enemy Firebase.
Phase 4: Final Penetration

After securing the area, we noticed that the FOB firebases had been eleminated. My squad set up a defense with the scimitars while Nardini retook the hill from which we had staged our assault on the ridge. The offensive on FOB was a difficult one and Nardini's squad was nearly wiped. Luckily, both APCs soon left the defense as I moved up to the afore-mentioned hill. Al's firepower combined with friendly forces from the NW provided a victory for the British forces. Capital game 'ol chaps!Googol
