Welcome to the forums, and thanks for helping support the server.

Everybody was pinned down and doing their best to avoid getting blown to bits when I snuck up and stuck some C4 on that bad boy and then--KABOOM!--blew it to the high heavens! And there was much rejoicing... "Yaaaay."

(of course, I won't mention the number of times I tried that throughout the night and got summarily destroyed)
That was MY Tank you Rat! And I had just had it washed too.......phooey.

    hehe

AWESOME time last night.....those battles around the Railroad tracks between the Hotel and Eastern Beach were amazing and a real honor to be a part of. Looking forward to a lot more of that type of play in the coming weeks.

My gratitude to Tactical Gamer and the players/Admins that make it such a great place to play. Outside of organized match/ladder play, there couldn't be a better "public" server on the web. Least IMO anyway.

    You're close.

The supporting memberships are great. You're supporting more than this game when you support this community with a supporting membership. There's nothing wrong with taking value mainly FROM this one game and only this one game (nevermind the forums, which you also enjoy and cost money), but it really does help the WHOLE place grow.

Also, look around. Consider the MANY people who are here and elsewhere within TG who STARTED in ONE corner of the community and, in their beginnings here, didn't anticipate having any interest in the other corners.

Good people is good people. Even if you think you're only interested in one game here, it's likely only a matter of time before you prove yourself wrong.

Humiliating moment was my pilot (who shall remain nameless) in a low hover over a flag, with allies on the ground, hitting the wrong key and bailing... instadeath for many, including his pilotless gunner...[/QUOTE]

I don't know what I was thinking. I hit the "e" button and WHHOOSH! Out I went..... MAN! What makes it worse is I did it not once but several times! After I stopped playing I changed the button to some oddball button that is off the keyboard that I can not accidentally hit.

Heh, up until that chopper killed us (ALL of us - couldn't do it again if he tried) our squad was indestructible. That boat incident was the closest point. I found a sweet spot behind the sand ridge where I could take pot shots but mostly stay hidden and revive you guys holding the ridge. Things were going well because I finally learned how to properly aim the shock paddles.
And how do you properly aim the shock paddles? I'm having trouble with this. Can you do it while just standing over the body, or do you have to crouch? Half the time I'm not getting a heal (even crouched) because the paddles don't do anything. Where's the sweet spot? It's frustrating to have to recharge up to 3 times to get a heal, and usually by that time, I'm picked off.

Just point at the body and your reticle should change into a big white, "target" icon. Sometimes you have to use the paddles more than once to revive.

For radius healing, you need only have the medkit in your hands. Or you can toss it on the ground for friendlies to pick up for insta-heal.

Just don't send Wyz in a chopper to construction. The crane and him have some kind of strange love affair. I'd say it's a love-hate thing. He's attracted to the crane, can't keep away from it, but every time they meet it only ends up in his heart and his body being broken.

The green cross and circle are actually the targeting "crosshair". Crouch and aim that at the chest. My problem was just lining up the paddles and therefore aiming too high.

    Re: Monday Night's Password Games

I had an awesome time last night. I ended up squad leader on the USMC and the team was great. We ended up on defense duty quite often, but I'm happy to say we never lost a flag we were defending.

Unfortunately I was auto-balanced to the MEC side and I couldn't even tell my squad what happened. Sorry USMC squad #3!

On a similar note, I'll bring it up with the admins that for future password protected nights, we disable auto-balance.
