Try and get bored under the command of Tarpan :-) "You, watch over the North. You, watch the South. You two guys, take the jeep and checkout that rundown house over there! Report asap." No time to pick your nose :-)

Dirt013 is also a good SL. Different style, but as much fun! These are the two real SLs that I know.

Thanks Tarpan and the whole team! Great gaming moment!

Props to Deveron! This guy is a freakin awesome squad leader. Even though we lost strike at karkand, we had a sweet squad going. Hope to play with you again! WOOT for OMFG 1337 squad!

Yup, fun squad. Love playing medic on that map. Probably the only one I can run a high score up on since it's such a slaughterhouse.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Kudos to SmokingTarpan...best squad leader I've played with yet. He truly directs the action at an individual level. Nobody has to guess what to do. Played againts him later and he's one tough sob to keep down too.

This TG teamwork model is going to catch on like wildfire. You won't be able to connect at 8:00am Monday's soon enough.

Yea, was a great game. Was my first time as a SL (The other squads were full ). I tried my best and 'think' i did a decent job. I've found my role as a medic and i love it!

I think my WoW account will have to be cancled, love this game

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Hi
This is my first post and I have to say that the fights last nite were just what I was looking for when I got BF2.
I also had the good fortune of being on Tarpan`s squad and the way he kept his cool and directed the squad while under heavy fire was amazing.
Thanks TG for hosting a great sever.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Well, out of all the matches, I'd have to say the first one was the best....

because we won. ;D I'm not sure what changed after that, but especially in the third and fourth rounds we were constantly dying to artillery. Just when we thought we had snuck past, somehow out of nowhere, artillery. By the fourth round we were so demoralized, I realize we should've quit, and I apologize for that. We were having a hard time holding where we were told to hold (actually, this might've been the fifth round, I'm not sure), and our SL (JediPilot) was plain tired of being squad leader.

So yeah, we definitely had some good rounds, it was great fun to be playing with everyone.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

I too had an awesome time. I didn't get to play as long as I had hoped (my router crashed or soemthing and by the time I got my net back up the server had obviously filled and seemed to stay that way consistently :P) But either way, the few maps I got to play were really awesome times. Hopefully it won't be too long before another password night occurs.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

I had a great time last night - I'm GMT +1 so I stayed up far too late but it was a blast. Props to all those that took on the commader role- that's a lot of stress and a long time to hold it all together.

Thanks also to Asch whose squad I got to be in for a round- great SL and fantastic job staying alive to give us a spawn point under heavy fire.

And Tempus, you are a demon with that artillary. I just wish I wasn't on the receiving end all the time.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Ya the Sharqi Peninsula round sucked, that damn artillery just keep coming. You would be no where around the action and all of a sudden their goes half you team and it always seems to take out the SL so your left with no forward spawn point. Not to mention the "Your grandmother could do a better job" comments ringing over your speakers, so I would have to concur that we were a little demoralized. The overall night was great though, just some frustration showing towards the end.

Guard duty is only boring until people start shooting at you. I think we had a total of maybe 5-10min on that map where we weren't engaged by someone (*coughASCHcough*) trying to get into the base.

Good job to all the guys that were in my squad last night; you did a fine job holding off what turned out to be 2:1 and 3:1 odds most of the night. That firefight at the east warehouse on Karkand was just insane; I don't know how we managed to keep the flag amidst the swarm of red dots headed toward us.

A fun night was had by all, I would say.

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

not sure what map it was but the MEC where so organized it was creepy. My squad, squid was the commandor and Meatdrapes, we where shooting at shadows, they just kept coming and coming. I had a blast, great team work and communications

Re: Saturday Night's Games (decompression)

Was a pretty fun evening. Thanks to Devil, awesome SL. Feel asleep a couple of times under Tempus's command (jk). Played both sides US and MEC, was pretty fun. We kicked major ass as MEC, but got our butts handed back as US... i guess i was the only one who got switched... ?!

SOrry for the long AFK guys, had a friend over, and it turned out 3 more rang at the door...

Can't wait for next saturday?
