Re: Another Karkand doozy
Nice job Tarpan, got the best of me at the end. I had 3 squads defending that bridge flag hoping that your guys would bunch up for my art strike. Just got too few people. My squads did a great job trying to attack and hold the flags, sorry to squads 3 and 7 for leaving you back there (but someones gotta be on watch)
Now that i think about it...I should have left the USMC take the bridge flag and create on side of the river against the other |

Re: Another Karkand doozy
Good job to you too, Drunken. You kept me almost too busy to think. Did a good job penetrating my line and holding on like a cornered cat for a long time.
Gotta thank all my squads though. I put 1 and 8 in the meatgrinder, stuck 5 on a corner where they were basically dodging bullets, and 2/3/4 I moved all over like it was party time. I told my SL's about 30min into the map that I was giving up on the east beach, and the goal was to cause casualties and keep the enemy bunched up. I think we were behind by about 40-50points for a while, then somehow my team kicked it into overdrive. Good job to all, fun game.

Re: Another Karkand doozy
for a good moment it was 2-2, and at that moment i was hiding under a train car trying not to get hit by artillery.
thought for sure we had lost it, but that last flag cap turned the tides. bravo to all the guys who ran for that flag after an arty strike scattered the MEC. too bad that was the only game i got to play tonight...server pretty much died afterwards.

Re: Another Karkand doozy
Ah I was about to post here, but you guys beat me to it. That was a seriously intense game, I died at the end when it was 2-2, and so I just sat at the base and held my breath... My squad was great. Thinking that the game tonight might be like last night's, I'm seriously surprised - and what a good surprise! =D 2-0, that was a SERIOUSLY close game! Great job to all commanders, squads, members, and everyone that played. =D

Re: Another Karkand doozy
Argh so frustrating. My squad held the east side the ENTIRE game. Despite frequent artillery attacks and a few stealth missions. Thanks to my squad for sticking it out down there despite all the action across the river. We had USMC by a good 5-10 points the whole last 100 points, till Tarpan dropped a monster artillery on us which left us down 8 (I think it was 18-10?). And thanks Drunken for taking over and making another great battle out of it. Great commanding on both sides and great play all around.

Re: Another Karkand doozy
i was hoping to have a commander while I was in beatniks squad on this map...but it turned out that we had no commander. Knowing that the map would suck without a commander i had to take the position and tried to the best of my ability. Started to lose my voice at the end cause i was talking wayy to much.
Imagine playing this map with 64 players on a 32 player size |

Re: Another Karkand doozy
Yes it was a well deserved and long awaited win for the USA. Just be glad there are no jets in Karkand.

Re: Another Karkand doozy
Karkand is the best map IMO. The lack of air power makes for great fights. The USMC up on the wall at the end of the game tossing grenades down on us was infuriating, but a great tactic.
