The freeze time is the amount of time before a round starts.. Right now, at 15 seconds, it starts 15 seconds after the first 2 players join the server. Meanwhile the rest of the teams take up to a minute to join and come into a game that already has players on flags all across the map.

We usually change it to 90 seconds or more to allow for all players to join, a commander to be selected, and some planning to take place.

3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

Tempus/burble - in hindsight (hindsight starting when we noticed our 50 point lead disappear while being turned into sausage) we should have played more D, and did shift to that strategy, albeit a bit late. But Tempus did do a great job, and was in the weeds the whole time. Those artillery drops at their base while we tried to get on the east flank were a HUGE help for my squad.

I did lead a quick charge to the NW flag at the beginning, but figured the lack of lead time was an equal disadvantage to everyone. If I had realized there were only a couple MEC spawned, I would've waited another 10 seconds. Ok 20 seconds.

Even though we ended up losing, that was (again) some of the best battle/all-out-carnage I've seen yet. It was a great game with big lead changes/swings and was compelling from start to finish.

I had a ball last night, I manned the fixed machine gun for the MEC at our main flag. The USMC kept trying to come up the street and we mowed them down, then they switched to the big warehouse and I just fired at the door. Then we went on offense and I was on the 50cal. on a tank and got to waste some more. Intense battle and lots of fun.

Yeah kin between you and muncher I think you guys racked up 40 kills on me alone, let alone the rest of my squad. lol

Telorn - it seemed like right at the beginning there we had all the power players/SLs on the server at once. It looked very promising... That is until pb started kicking everyone...

I was in your squad, you're being too hard on yourself :P You did fine considering the chaos that was going on when we only had that one flag.

I really thought when I saw the map a few minutes in and was like "HOLY #*#*# they have the whole map" that this one would be a 450-0 or something. I was somewhat surprised when all of a sudden it turned into a typical across-river slugfest, with us very close on score.

Somebody somewhere must've been laying a smackdown on some USMC squads, as we went from a tad behind at the 100-ticket mark to about 30-40 ahead. At that point I went to my usual medic mode to protect every last ticket I could.

One oddity - the IFF bug was kicking HARD last night. Mosdl was showing up red for me, and I think I fragged him at least once. I checked on the score screen and it showed him on USMC. After I saw that he wasn't shooting at the other MEC players I left him alone. Sure enough, at the end of the round he was the #1 MEC player. I have no idea how the game can be that bugged on something so simple as which team someone is on.

Yeah my squad was running into him alot, and he was showing to USMC as friendly, but was slaughtering us. It took us a few minutes to catch on, but luckily our CO had TS and got him kicked so he could re-join.

It's not hard to get top honors when your enemies aren't firing at you...
