Great PW games tonight! (Wed)

Just got off, having played 4 rounds with you guys. What great teamwork. I have to say, I think the squads I had under me on the USMC side were the best I've worked with yet.

We actually lost Karkand 5-0, but were rather dominant in the rest, particularly Oman, where the US was in total control of the beach, air, and nw flag for the whole game.

Props to every squad on my team tonight!

For the bit I played, I got pwned. Anti was not putting lead into the enemy. I was sad.

Re: Great PW games tonight! (Wed)

I played USMC on Karkand, was a blast.....got moved to the other team by the server the next map and got owned for 3 more maps. Had good guys in the squad, just weren't getting any support whatsoever. I must have asked for air support 30 times on the one map and never saw a friendly aircraft until one of my guys finally said screw it and jumped into one. At one point we were facing 2 attack helos, a UH-60, and a F-15 all at once with no support. Needless to say it was a bit frustrating.

I'm going to take my meds now and make it all go away.

I jumped on after Karkand so I missed that but the rest of the games were great. Good just leading Tempus. The highlight would be holding the Northwest flag on Omen with Tarpan as the SL. They just keep coming, not sure why but it sure was fun holding them off.

It has been a great night. Strike at Karand was a fierce battle as usual. Our MEC squad was mostly camping on the North Western flag, mowing down tons of enemy infantry. Because of this, our squad is a huge magnet to Tempus's artillery. =)

Yes, my squad was holding the 3 southern flags. Hotel + Beach 1 + Beach 2 = Snooze fest until the last 10 min. At that point a squad of armor arrived at the hotel and grabbed it before we could respond. In the last 3 minutes a squad got vaugley interested in our base and that was fun until the end of the game. Last second I grabbed the last kill with the m24 against ricochett911.

Mashtuur was great fun on the other hand. My squad spent the whole game in the USMC side of the map. The highlight of the night was assualting the USMC Main base for 10 minutes. As SL I was moving from bush to bush as my squad fought it out with the opposing squad. I was trying to keep my squad from Zerging but it was a lost cause. Bats finally ordered us off it but throughout the entire battle I was never killed. I even managed to kill a few people while stuffing my ass in a hole.

i got to play the last 100 tickets of karkand and it was fun (but short for me). was on bommandos squad and just rained hell down on the bridge. the next map i would get on a good squad and get kicked for a supporting member...and then have it happen again. frustrating but eh what can ya do. i think after that my team lost every round, and oman was particularly painful.

the most memorable thing tonight were the hovering jets, especcialy on zatar. those things can rain hell down on ya when theyre hovering like that, but its very fun to take it down with an AT rocket

Yeah awesome games tonight. I was on China/MEC and we had some really good games. We lost all but Karkand but I don't remember any of the matches being blowouts or anything. I left before Oman though and it sounds like that got ugly.

I love PW nights.

Karkand was INSANE last night, i was sniping from the main banks and the MEC had two snipers that were being resurected by a medic, what a pain in the ass that was. Managed to kill them both a dozen or so times before we lost by 5 tickets (!).
Dalian plant was also pretty fun but it wasnt as frantic, at least for me flying around above it all, Alpocalypse was the only person challanging me while shooting down (or running into SORRY CYMBA) the usmc cobras and blackhawks. I managed to hit a boat with the J-10's bombs too and got 4 kills right off the bat :P All in all it was a fun game to pilot in, and the commander wasnt bad at giving me decent bombing orders. I feel really bad about running into Cymba and his gunner so much, i think they were getting a bit frustrated after the 3rd time, near as I can tell i was just clipping them with my wingtips because i never once hit them head on.

All in all, good games last night folks!

Well, we would have been hazing Wulfyn but he was in ATC with flux and myself trying to plan for tonight.

TEMM's on the flatbed rail car! The flatbed rail car! He's gone! No, he's back! Watch out for Steel Penguin!

Haha, I was one of those snipers. I had 4 snipers and 2 medics, and boy did those medics keep busy My squad never let anyone across the south side of the river, it was great. I was glad we won that by such a tight margin

I love PW nights.

It's getting bad for me now. First you discover TG and you can't play on public anymore. Then you play PW night and it's like the next level, now regular TG is a bit of let down. SO SPOILED.

I vote for an additional PW night to be added.

Re: Great PW games tonight! (Wed)

lol, I escaped into ATC cos I couldn't stand the heat!

My team I want to thank as well for having a lot of patience. The flip side of good teamwork is that sometimes you get one of the more boring jobs. My guys were tasked with defending the west side of the land bridge, not a job you'd think of slow, but we did have a few patches with little to do. They all hung in tight, kept their eyes open and didn't complain - great job guys.

Squad '4' continues to haunt me. #I joined the p/w server off the bat in zatar, and was on the MEC side. Created a custom squad as normal 'The Wulfyn', which ended up as squad 4, which was even more bizarre because just as I clicked to make it squad 3 disappeared. Then for some reason my comp went a bit glitchy, so I decided to reset the comp. Got back in but could only play USMC, so made a custom squad again, and lo and behold, I'm squad 4. So it's entirely possible that in Zatar both sides had squad 4 as The Wulfyn...!

Near the end of Karkand with the scores at about 20 a piece my squad decided to head north west to set up a defence and see if we could make a final win by hitting ht enemy in a crossfire. It was a little too late, but I did get up onto the raised road, and the UAV pinged a squad on the courtyard below me and off a bit to the north. Ahh sod it I thought, switched to nades, and using the UAV as a target guide lobbed all 5 in that direction.

Was quite pleased to see Bommando amongst the 4 kills

Good ATC chat as well with flux and Asch - these guys seriously know their stuff

I second that! As long as theres no problems keeping the PW nights full we should have as many as we can support

I wouldnt mind playing PW on monday nights, since wednesday nights we go to the pool to get some exermecize.
