Sunday 8/14 -- TG-7th Infantry
Wanted to give another shout out to those who were in one of the TG-7th Infantry squads!
Clorox
Nox
snaggletto
birdie
jaymind
Turbo
(and a few others I can't remember)
The squad was very patient while defending, obeyed orders, communicated needs, looked to find out what class was needed, offered suggestions effectively, etc.
Fushe Pass
On this map the squad was split 3/3 to defend the two western flags on the north side of the river. We were constantly under assault on at least one of the CPs throughout the duration of the map. The enemy came in with their helo multiple times to try and get around us. We always held at least one of the CPs and kept the enemy on the offensive at the other. It wasn't until the last minute or two that we actually lost the CPs, but by that time we had effectively won the round.
Sharqi Peninsula
We were shuffled around the map quite a bit at the beginning, but after speaking with the CO, he was more than happy to keep us defending certain CPs. Once we dug in, there was no pushing us out.
Zatar Wetlands
Excellent work on this map. We were able to split into fire teams and capture / hold the center flag. Breaking up to watch several different points of attack worked well and the team communicated their needs for us to rotate. We also found ourselves walking into an open flag. Once taken it never switched hands again. Awesome!
(I don't remember the other maps from the night.)Last edited by asch; 08-15-2005 at 02:03 PM.

Man, you guys had quite a showing last night. I saw 9 members on for quite a while. Were you all squadded up together?

We try to. There have been times where we had two 7th squads on the same team and other times when we have one on each side.

Good squad leading Asch and Birdie, Fushe Pass was crazy I dont think they ever stopped attacking our two CP's for more than one min.

Fushe was fun, we were pushed to out limit there with the split squad, but it did prove that it can work well with a good squad and 2 close flags.

There were several admins on the server Sunday night. If you're referring to which admin was in the 7th, that was probably me.

That was great fun last night and it showed. Last night showed that fire teams can work as long as the squad is working together and following orders. Kudos to all who played on the 7th last night. Asch you did a great job being the SL, your instructions were concise and easy to understand. Also kudos to the rest of the team and the other side for making it a great night of game play.
