Good fun on the Private Server Monday nite
Hey all - just wanted to say thanks to everyone playing on the private server Monday nite. This was my first private server Monday nite, and it was a good time, after I adjusted to the 16 player maps that is. We had some great skirmishes and I saw a lot of organized attacks/defenses on both teams. There is no feeling like seeing a tactical column of red dots heading straight for your position on the UAV...
We almost pulled out that Sharqi win there... I think the score was 4-0? Had we had artillery we definitely would've taken the game.

Awesome games tonight. Sassyone did a great job commanding, I also think if she had artillery we would of pulled it out. Losing 4-0 sucks but it sure was a lot of fun trying to dodge the artillery for the last 5 minutes.

Yeah Sassy did a great job. Especially focusing everyone on *not getting killed* in the last 5 minutes or so... I should've paid a little more attention to those orders!

Yeah, that was tons of fun. *WINNING* 4-0 was great.

I hardly ever pick up the sniper rifle, but I suddenly realized how perfect it would be for nailing all of those little prone guys defending the construction site.
It was a very enjoyable game.

my favorite moment was everbody from MEC on sharqi watching Tac-d (I think it was him) just standing and watching him come up a ladder onto my claymore and getting blown off.

Lots of fun indeed! Plus, I was in Beatnik's squad!
I think I did ok even though Mishkan killed me a few times in a row just before the end of the round which caused our points to drop faster than I would have liked!
Funniest (well, kinda funny) was when I saw a bunch of ennemies near our flag and I had just respawned in a building. I go prone to hide, and throw a grenade. It hits the handrail and bounces back in the building, killing myself and a teammate! Let's just say that I wasn't too proud of myself!

It was a great time. It was cool to see at least 30 players on the private server. Made for some great battles.
I appologize to the squad I was leading last night. I was distracted at home and couldn't devote my full attention to leading the squad. Needless to say, I left the SL positoin after that map.
It was also great to see some of the regular squads trying to form up and play together.
My favorite moment was when Bom took out Sabre (on foot) with a TOW from across the map.

That 4-0 game was insane. True chaos. Great fun. I only regret that I came in towards the end and didn't have decent knowledge of the situation; I was probably more of a hindrance than a help to my squad for most of the game.

Toward the end dodging Bo's missles at the TV station was fun. I also had the pleasure of taking out the supply crates dropped to repair the artillery with my GL. (couldn't have done that with out Telorn keeping me supplied though) That coupled with Mirfee's C4 kept the guns quiet for a good portion of the game.
Lots of fun. Thanks to all who came out.

Last time I showed up for a Monday night private server, all I heard was crickets. Was glad to see this big of a turn out. It's definitely a nice change of pace.Telorn

You guys were impossible to dig out from the construction site on Shargi after you took it from my squad, and damn you made taken it look easy. I think I had my guys to spread out on defense there and should have concentrated them on a few entry points alone. Originally Posted by Beatnik

But, was a hell of a defense you had in place there. We had a bitch of a time assaulting that, we did manage to flip it a few times but never for long.

Yes, we held it. But No, we couldn't gain one foot of ground toward the neighboring flag, despite having high ground advantage. Ugh. I guess it was Bommando's squad squaring off with us down there. (Another 42nd member, btw. Yes, we're proud of him. )
There were a couple real good assaults tho - you guys had actually secured the balcony there for about 15 seconds and had neutralized the flag before our counter-attack just barely re-secured it.
Props to Xeil who led the squad and Mirfee who used the tank to great effect despite having the high-ground DISadvantage.
Thanks to Strag for COing despite not really wanting to.

Folks, awesome games last night. Being CO on a server with serious, team-oriented players like ya'll is an entirely different experience from being CO on the pubs, so although I didn't really want to at first, I ended up having a great time as CO on Sharqi. I just tried to keep the two squads on my team supplied and provide good UAV coverage while laying down some arty smack. Both squads did a superb job.
My apologies to my teammates on Kubra Dam. I played as CO there as well, and I know I had more arty team kills than is acceptable. I learned last night that it's important to center arty strikes on that map quite a ways out from the main "bridge" span. I kept trying to hammer infantry down on the lower level, but some stray arty rounds would invariably impact on the upper platforms of the dam where my guys were. Again, my apologies for the excessive TKs.

I remember we booby-trapped the hell out of that North CP. I saw them come across in 2 APCs and we all hid in ambush. It was joyous to see both APCs run straight into Keith's mines and we all breathed a sigh of relief.
Nice repair work as well to keep our vehicles intact, even if we showed our thanks by running you over a couple of times
