Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

Just like to say that I had a great time attacking/defending against you guys on both Oman and Oilfields.

On Oman, you guys made the make entertaining for me because the majority of the time i was in a one man squad (due to full squads/air squads) and i think i did a good job of pissing you guys off and at the same time keeping you guys busy.

On Daqing Oilfields (spelling?) it was 10x more fun as those western flags kept switching back and forth. Props to my squad members Faultline, Icky, Sassy, Shina, and Jackel and commander Raub for defending that NorthWest flag as hard as possible.

Playing against your squad tonight was great tonight through all the bunnyhopping controversy.

P.S. hey beatnik...i figured if I couldnt join ya, why not try and beat ya?

On Oman you didn't so much piss us off, you were just kind of annoying Someone actually said "Hey, I think he's a one man squad", The maneuver of you taking an APC south and then back around the west was pretty funny. Everyone thought you were gone until you showed up on the west side of the water.

Daqing was awesome, we swapped a lot of lead against you guys there. Shina knifed 3 guys in a row in our squad

I never saw any of the bunnyhopping, but I saw the admin chat messages several times.

Man was it funny, you were very persistent. We should've taken bets on what vehicle you were going to show up in each time

When you rounded through the south in that APC I originally thought you were going to come straight in. I said "Here comes DrunkenSoul again." Beatnik says "Let him come, we'll just kill him....AGAIN."

Re: Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

I had the benefit of some very good SLs on the oilfields map. You guys did an awesome job accomplishing whatever I threw at you.

On a sidenote, tonight had to be one of the poorer passworded nights I've played. It seemed there was mucho bunnyhopping, UCB camping, etc, going on. The very disappointing part was that many of the offenders were wearing the TG tag.....

Still a very good night of gameplay overall though.

Oh yeah, especially when you showed up in a tank. Beatnik was telling us "Don't die, stay away from him" when we had like 25 tickets left. You had 3 of us trapped when you took a tank on the hill and opened fire on us. Of course, then you went down on the road

Re: Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

Yeah Drunken I figured that was your plan. Guys on my squad were remarking how persistant you were charging us over and over, and I was like "no, he's just trying to get under my skin". You definitely had my number more than a few times though. But my...rifle...kept...jamming. Yeah.

And the Oilfields was a wreck for us. We couldn't hold on to a CP for more than a few minutes, and that's usually ALL my squad does - hold CPs. I remember we finally won back the northern of the 2 west flags, were catching our breaths, and BOOM, here comes an armored column down from your main base. Literally 2 tanks, APC, and a buggy (ok buggy's not armor but it looked damn impressive).

But big ups to my squaddies throughout the nite (there were minor rotations each game)- you all did great even when grossly outnumbered, overpowered, and dominated from the air. We held those points a lot longer than we should, no doubt.

And to you DS, if you ever can't join me, please just surrender. It'll make my game a lot easier.

Yep, I've had a good time on the Oilfield map. Beatnik's squad really did a great job assaulting/defending the flag. I'm sorry for those who I've knifed though... I cannot resist the urge...

Re: Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

im not sure about much of the bunny hopping. i jumped up from prone as sniper once and hand gunned 2 people (all i did while i jumped up was switch guns)

i was real hesitant to even jump away from attacking apcs.... i wasn't sure if i would get yelled at for that.

on oilfields i was engineer and lucky shot was a few yards away. i ran at him and jumped twice w/o even thinking, and just stood there and allowed him to kill me. its not like its premeditated, and i don't go laser quest on people, but i did get an admin on my ass once so from than on i was too scared to move!

Re: Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

Well, everyone has been complaining lately so I think they're trying to really knuckle down on the rules. It's a good thing I stay in a cockpit most of the time or lay on my belly or else I'd probably be getting yelled at as I try to jump over an obstacle 30 times instead of walking around it. Anyone else have that hermit crab mentality?

The best thing I heard on TS last night was...

"This is Yer Mom"

I gotta admit I got a chuckle outta that

Man I hope RL stuff calms down soon I really only have time for a couple maps a night right now and I'm itchin for a marathon session. Sounds like I missed a lot of fun.

Re: Props to Beatniks Squad on Wed Password

Oilfields was fun. Never had so much trouble defending a flag from 1 squad. While Beatnik's gang was relentlessly attacking, Bommando was dropping the arty on our heads every 2-3 minutes.

Made for a really hectic but fun round. Well played everyone.

Looking back, one of us should've spawned as engineer and layed out several layers of mines at that north entrance.....probably would've let us own that flag for another 30 seconds before losing it

It was funny listening to Beatnick holler "here he comes again, sorry guys looks like he is after me again". Got you once with the stinger, have to admit you were becoming more of a pain then Santa. Good job keeping the play interesting.

I have to give KUDO's to SL Beatnick, Clorox, TG Perry, TG Nox, Custom and whoever else popped into our squad. Who said defense was boring. Awesome job last night guys...
