Sharqi 8/28 9pm EST

Finally got some revenge and had more kills against ARF than he had against me...even though we lost, we fought hard defending the TV station.

Beatnik your squad brought it hard and I thoroughly enjoyed popping you with the tank a dozen times Guys were flanking me with AT, I couldn't keep up with all of them. Great job.

How did I know I was going to see this thread by you in the forum? You got me many many times JMJ. Our sole objective that game was to capture and hold the TV tower, and we even capped it a few times, but you guys wouldn't give up and handled us very effectively. Especially you and your *&@# tank. We brought everything we could and it made for some incredible squad-on-squad skirmishes, which is rare at the TV station - usually it's 5 squads dug in there.

And GG Dark_Viper - your squad pretty much had my squad in the ringer all night long. After coming in and seemingly effortlessly re-taking the main USMC base on Mashtuur I knew we were finished. And I had some seriously kickass players on my squad (including tau neutrino and Arf)...

Someone from my squad said "Arf's sniping from the construction site." I was at the top of the stairs at the TV station on a .50. I popped him right in a window and said "not anymore!" Usually it's Arf getting the best of me, so I really enjoyed last night I was on Dark_Viper's squad on Sharqi. I couldn't believe how hard you guys were coming to that station, it was a blast. We had C4 on the flag, claymores in the stairwells, you name it. When you guys did get it, I was surprised we got it back so quickly.

That was incredibly fun stuff! I started out on another squad, but I switched over to Dark Viper's squad when I saw the TV station fall, as I love fighting over that place.

I can't count the number of times someone in our squad said "I got their SL!"

Our squad did an excellent job of spreading out and then collapsing on the flag when we got in trouble. Good use of claymores too!

JMJ - yeah you guys pretty much had an airtight defense in place. I definitely ran through all my bag of tricks a few times over trying to break in. If we had received even a few reinforcements after we capped the first time (NO other squads spawned there to help us defend, despite my pleas to the CO), we could've managed it better, I think. Oh well.

icky- Yeah I'm sure you heard that quote quite a bit, as I was dying with a vengance the whole match. After a while I started sending up guys to charge in and serve as human claymore removers so the rest of our guys could push through. Not exactly an elegant tactic, but it works in the BF2 environment...

There is no good way to approach the station. From the front when I was in the hummer I could see everything. I saw you from the front, along the fence, everywhere. I was just relaying to the squad where you guys were coming from. Whoever I didn't get with the .50 or tank, they cleaned up the rest (which was all of them when someone revived you ).

We didn't really have a tactic until we took it back from you, that's when the C4 came out and the claymores. We had a support guy for a while so I think Dark_Viper put down claymores like every 3 feet
