2nd sept Sharqui Peninsula COing
So guys, this has been my 3rd gaming day within TG`s server, and I must say it was a blast!
I started off playing at the FuShe Pass, I belive, joined an infantry squad and played generally as a medic (until we had to repair some Artillery the Spec Ops on the opposing team had the joy of destroing). Anyway that Shotgun doesn`t fits my style I went back to what I can only call as the "shocking dive of ressurection", as we try to hit our critically wounded team members with those shocking paddles (I have yet to kill a CO with those).
Anyhow, nearing the end of the map our CO left, we where loosing the battle (to no other than Bommando himself, so kind as to drop an impossible number of artillery shells on our heads) and I said to myself: "well, we are loosing anyway, what harm could I do?" And I applyed once again to be the CO.
Well, we indeed lost, but I had waaay a better understanding of what to do as a commander. We proceeded to the next map, I belive it is called the Sharqui Peninsula. I was going to be the CO there again.
We started out really good, I asked each SL what was their role in the game and what was their speciality. With this knolege in hands I left them to choose their first flags. I cannot remember your names, sorry, but I recognize your skill to play, great work guys! In the first half of the game, we had captured all but the center and the farthest CP`s on the city. With that bleed I decided to make a defensive stance, and it worked wonders, we managed to score a 100pt difference on tickets.
All was good, but then I had to pay my toll for being a newbie CO. The other team had a squad sneak by our side and capture one of our rear bases on the NW. That had my squads divided into two fronts, having the enemy showing up from everywhere. I send one, perhaps two squads to capture back our rear base, but that weakened our front lines and we lost the center CP. So the enemy now had 2 CP`s more, and had cut my forces in two thin fronts, being easy targets for chopters from the sea while firing back at their enemy. Again, the people down there in the ground did an excellent job, they quicqly captured back the CPs I ordered them to get, but then I would loose the one they where guarding.
So, at the end of the match, our two teams where exchanging CPs all over, with some of them staying grey for quite some time. There was a moment there we captured all the CPs back, and I was ready to make my defensive front again, knowing this time to watch out on my back, but then something happened: At least 3 more squads appeared, all of them with a one man army. It got really hard to manage all those squads at once, I belive that even if you are going to be a lone Spec Ops, it would be nice of you to be in a squad, they even might be nearer the enemy base than one of our bases, and you would save some of your precious time walking around. But that`s only an unexperienced CO (and general player) talking, you might have your reasons
Well, what I tought was really decisive in that game was this: The enemy sneaking by and capping one of my rear bases. And the fact that I got paranoid after seeing a red dot near my artillery, and kept asking the chopter to go there take a look. I belive you guys saw nothing right? Well, as I said, it was paranoid, and Arty is not as important in that map, as there are lots of buildings to run under for cover. The chopter could be there giving support. Another thing is that our base was really decorated with buggys, jeeps and APCs, I belive that each Squad Leader should issue one of their Squad Members to spawn back at the main base and get a tank from time to time, in a map with few air options (I belive each team is issued one chopter) tanks and even APCs play a major role on those tight street fights.
After all it was great playing with you guys again, the experience gained is my prize, as I am enjoying each day more TG`s servers.
To the enemy team, congratulations, you turned the battle over to your favor, to my own team, you did a great job guys, in the end it was my inexperience who took us down, but hey, loosing is the fastest way to learning (ouch, fire hot!)-- Arhurt

Re: 2nd sept Sharqui Peninsula COing
Funny fact: In the FuShe Pass, my SL was playing a sniper while we assalted the cliff factory (that place has a name I have yet to learn) and I spawned next to him BANG, teamkill.
I was like: Wow that was fast, how did they see me there?
2 seconds later he realizes I wasan`t sneking by him with a knife and apologizes, I notice the text down my screen: "Will you forgive the Team Killer? Press Pgup for yes and Pgdwn for no"
I completely forgive him, he shot out of reflection, but my finger tough different and pressed PgDwn ***evil***
He said: "Ok, I deserved that" lol that was funny, I really didin`t mean not to forgive you, but my finger had other plans in their... heads O_o-- Arhurt
