Great game on Oman, 9/11, 8-9 PDT

As the title says, great game on Oman last night, with I think the final score being 7-0 in favor of our team, MEC. Kudos to Deveran as SL for doing an outstanding job, along with squad members Arf, Ragnar, GuywithGlasses, and any others that I may have missed. We ended up with the top squad on MEC, with Arf, as usual, being tops, or near the top (I haven't yet seen a kit that Arf can't play well!).

Probably the best part for me was the defense of the construction site (north middle flag), near the last 15-20 minutes or so. We held it the entire time we were there. Santa's squad continued to try to take it from the east, only to have us repel him over and over again. Not that it was easy doing so; it got pretty intense for awhile there, with Santa's squad sneaking in every little alleyway possible. Not to mention a second squad flanking in from the north on several occasions.

Anyway, great game on both sides, especially with the final score being the closest I've seen on Oman. Who says there can't be parity on TG?

I had a gret time on this map last night too. I wqas MEC in .... shoot, I can't remember his name...squad. Anyways, we were tasked with holding the flag south of the hotel where the enemy arty is. We were also tasked with continually disabling the arty. Had a great time.

Not to mention Dark Viper +1 cruising in from the north with the attack chopper and wiping out our whole squad on the way in... over and over again. I was in Santa's squad and we gave up on that attack after awhile. It was cruel.

My squad was the other one coming in, and we too were wiped out by the attack chopper several times. I eventually asked the commander if we could bypass the construction site, he agreed, and we waltzed in to the northwest flag completely unopposed. That was the second time that round that we took that flag with no resistance!

Yeah, I can't believe I forgot to mention Dark Viper. It's almost come to the point now where you just take him for granted, knowing somehow he's gonna show up in the heat of the moment and provide some devastating support.

I asked the CO for DarkViper's backup when I saw the sqauds were getting close. CO told him there were plenty of bodies and he let waste. Good combination of sqauds and teamwork as well as a good Commander for that round proved to be a very fun match.
