Wednesday Password Night...

SUCKED!

What a god awful couple of rounds. USMC got raped in the eye all night. I commanded Dalian after not seeing a squad I wanted to join and no one stepping up. That was a flop but it didn't seem horrible. We lost by about 200 tickets. Sharqi was next, after a sever blip and several map loadings. USMC was almost wiped of the map, and even were for a minute or so. The feeling I got from Oman is probably similar to that of putting my hand through a meat grinder. By 10:30, thats right bedtime is 10:30 here at TG the server was down to 25 people. Good Night.

Why have password games been sucking so much lately?

- No one wants to command.
- Teams end up getting stacked
- One teams air superiority

I've seen a couple password nights be this bad lately.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

Should we be looking at some sort of psuedo structured password nights? A CO that steps up before the night to work a few games.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

Did you miss Daqiq Oilfields? That was a pretty good game for Daqiq, I thought. (Beatnik's squad, MEC.)

I've noticed fewer people on password nights since the password change. Could some of the pub/regulars be too lazy to look up the new one?

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

It was really strange Karkand loads up and 20 people are playing. It is only midnight, where is everyone? Not really sure what happened with the squads on those maps, they were kind of fun for the MEC but boring too. You can only hold the other team to one flag for so long before it gets boring. Daqing was probably the best game of the night. I was also with Beatnik and we had plenty of action. Not to mention the best action seemed to come when that plane was landing at LAX. Trying to watch and play didn't work to well.

Yeah, USMC got our asses handed to us. I bailed on Karkand because I didn't think I could cope with it considering how badly we were doing (I'm not a big fan of Karkand at the best of times).

Despite our overall poor performance I would like to commend my squad: Dr.Lily, |FDB|Math, trent_208, VegasT and BigGaayAl. We were on defense most of the time, and I think we did a good job on Sharqi. You guys did an awesome job on Oman though, holding the Hotel flag for the majority of the game while the most of the team was frollicking around the map . I think at one point we were surrounded by 4 APCs, a tank, various infantry and a sniper team on the hill to the southeast. Really great work.

Too bad we didn't have a commander.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

Tonight was absolutely horrible and probably the least amount of fun I've had since I started playing here.

Karkand just ended, looks like the Oilfields are up.. 13 people on the server. Normally there's at least 50 this time of night.

Dr.Lily was on the money on Sharqi, we swapped a LOT of lead with each other, him giving a lot more than he received from me

Perry, you're right. I think we're going to have to take it upon ourselves to balance things out next time. Having no CO's doesn't help. I'd be willing to CO a map on PW night. If we could just get 3 people on each team to volunteer for one map or something. Fortunately as the MEC we had CO's.....too bad the USMC didn't.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

On pw nights that i can actually stay long enough for, id be happy to CO a bit more often. Everyone is a better CO then a non existent one. If your not, thats pathetic

Me too. What happened? Was it just because the teams were unbalanced? Sharqi put me in a bad mood and I lost all interest in playing the game.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

Yea..really wasn't that great. I got booted when you guys changed to password it and it put me on USMC..FOR THE REST OF THE NIGHT. I hate USMC. No love. So many advantages to playing as a MEC or Chinese then as a USMC and besides, I always play OpFor so it's really hard to not shoot at USMC guys.

I stuck to flying as much as I could for the USMC (since there wasn't really a dedicated Chopper sqaud and I did start with flying in the air. My fault if you didn't like my flying for the USMC. Arf was just killing me up everytime I lifted off, and I'm not that great of pilot so he just kills me everytime he gets behind me.

As for Sharqi, I must say that that situation could ahve been avoided. It really didn't look at all tactical and a lot of sqaud leaders didn't seem to know how to play w/o the backing of a CO. We get down to one flag and I'm the only person (in my recently switched to OMG 1337 sqaud from the </3USMC 1 person locked sqaud; I was trying to get over to the MECs). I swear almost every flag that was captured when the USMC was cornered was by me. Avoid the masses, attack all over the map and not in just one area. If you're in a huge clump of people, go to a different flag away from them.

Sorry I didn't really make a sqaud to help out USMC that much, I just really don't like USMC at all. I guess that's a poor excuse, but, none the less, it's mine.

Yep, and I'm still in a bad mood. I think I'll stay away Saturday night then read the AAR's to see if it improved. I have no intention of playing a night like tonight again.

I'll refrain from posting more....

Really? I prefer playing as USMC. I think that all the USMC equipment is better than the MEC equipment with the exception of some of the air vehicles. Even the M1A2 is superior to the T-90, since I think you can raise the gun barrel higher. Same with China.

Re: Wednesday Password Night...

I just think that we are used to every night being so awesome that we are genuinely surprised when everyone has a flat one. I had fun flying on Daqing, but that's about it. Sometimes it just doesn't come together. I have to say that it's very much the exception rather than the rule.

Take a couple of days off, have a beer, hang with the family and hit it with a vengeance on Sat night. I know that's what I'll be doing
