Wednesday night games "password"
I played the password games up to the end of Karkand and I would have to say they were some of the best games lately. The teams seemed evenly match and it was a lot of fun defending and attacking. Props to my squad, you guys did everything you were told even with me dying constantly, like it was my job. Good job guys and good job to the CO's that stepped up early in the matches.

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
Yea, Sassy was CO'ing tonight, I had never seen her on the server, and she did very well. I was mostly experimenting tonight, learned how to gun for an attack chopper with Virigoth and played in James's squad as a medic. He was so suprised he was like "Hero? is that you? Your not leading a squad?!?!"

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
Agreed. Great job to everyone who played. Especially Sassy for a very unique a well thought out strategy on Karkand, that if applied earlier, would have won it for us. It's far from everyday you hear a new idea on that map.
![]() And if I never see another 'Bommando [Artillery] Beatnik' again it'll be too soon.

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
I think last time I commanded against sassy it was Karkand also, but reversed. In that battle I won by allowing her to break through to the bridge flag and letting my squads bleed from a better position. Towards the end of last nights game, she tried the same tactic by pulling away from the bridge. Perhaps a lesser CO would have fallen for it
![]() Good job to the mec squads that game though, especially OMG L33t

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
The USMC plan in Karkand seemed to be to get an APC and a tank across the land bridge and snag one flag and then spawn from there like maggots from a corpse (I was playing the MEC side). The other tactic was to sneak around the sides and attack flags this way. It was really fun beating the USMC masses back. I was in BornBrittles squad which was great. He was very communicative and we did a good job defending.
In Oman I got in a bit late and I jumped into the same squad led by Budahack, another great SL. We defended the construction site base in the middle. Yesterday was also a good day of teamplay. THere are less squads (not the endless "maximum number of squads reached" messages from last week). The only drawback is that sometimes there is a minute with almost no action. Time to look at the wonderful greenery created by my $400 graphics card.

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
Ahhh so you all pulled back on Karland at the end.
I was part of Deveran's CHARGE squad, well it wasn't named that but should of been, because we charged everywhere, "ermm Dev, theres a tank, apc and about 15 troops at the ford", his reply "Get ready to charge!!!!!". He has no fear. Wondered what had happened when it we made it across and it was way to quiet, I thought you'd got bored of shooting us. |

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
Nice to see some new strategies attempted. My MEC teammates were making me cry towards the end of that map by gathering under Sassy's arty to see if we could instantly wipe out a 10 point lead. The best part of that map for me was watching my only squad member (whose name I have completely forgotten - sorry) defending the crane as 4 attackers climbed the ladder. I shot them in the back from a distance a few times on the way up and then he C4'd the group of them at the top.

Re: Wednesday night games "password"
Tonight was fun.. I ended up leading a squad for 3 or 4 rounds. But the highlight of my night was seeing this on Daqing:
The tank was blown a good 100m in the air by the bomber and I had to make sure not to hit it as I flew through in my fighter... I'm up at 75meters and it had been going down for a second or two so it musta gotten up to at least 100m.. I had to quickly control my laughter and hit the screenshot button. Not sure, but that may be a dead body falling there underneath the tank.. Of course I crashed after I took the screenshot... |

Yes, good times tonight, good times.
StupidAwesome, promise next time to fall into my little traps, won't you? Sheesh, it's the decent thing to do! Bommando, it was my great pleasure to deliver a proper stompin' to your team and I hope to do it again soon. *wink* (now THAT is a call-out!) I spent 2 and a half hours hooking up my pc at my temporary pad (Mom was all like "if you unplug my computer, will it still have my email on it when you put it back? What if it gets a virus?" *smacks forehead*) which includes buying new headphones and a new microphone since I left mine in Beaumont. *sigh* The point in telling you all this - it was totally worth it tonight! I've learned to look at who is actually in the squad to assign certain tasks based on strengths and weaknesses and I tell you what.. there are a lot of folks that a CO can really count on. The pleasure was mine tonight, gentlemen. Kisses, Sassy
