Talking Thursday night, Mashtuur City MEC

Most fun I've had as CO in a while! Hope it was a blast for all of you on the ground too - despite all of my "blind" orders

Unhappy Re: Thursday night, Mashtuur City MEC

was this the map around 0000 GMT?? where MEC smoked USA??

you did fine...my SL kept saying "wait a sec guys...new orders...*sigh*" hahaha...

i must apologize to the guys in my squad, though. i remember Munchkin and Luuser were in there...anyway, i only get the chance to play on the TG server during wednesday password night, but tonight my girly-friend was "out" and i thought i'd be all sneaky and play a round. to make a long and drawn out story short, she came home early and and so we went rope-a-dope during the Mashtuur round. i was typing "afk" with one hand and keeping her at bay with the other.

i tried to stick it through to the end, only to be auto-balanced to USA during the last two minutes of play...oh dear.

so again, sorry i...probably wasn't following orders. but it was a two front battle i was engaged in! sheesh...

Who were the SL's anyway? I never left the command screen and didn't get a chance to check. All you guys were awesome. @ Coridon - yeah, it was at that time, but we didn't smoke you guys! It was a very close one, within 20 tickets or so.

That's the best, isn't it? It's like free kills/points

Re: Thursday night, Mashtuur City MEC

You made a great medic as well eggplant!

Some prefer my style of leading and others don't. I play conservative as SL and focus on providing a safe spawn close to the objective and keeping the squad constantly informed regarding enemy activity and the immediate surroundings.

EDIT: Ah, I think the squad you hit with C4 was my squad DS. My normal tactic is to have the squad disperse as soon as the flag goes neutral and then move back in after about 10 seconds.

Yet another reason I play conservative as SL. Yeah, we lost some tickets but we turned around and took the flag pretty quickly because I was outside C4 range but close to the flag.

Re: Thursday night, Mashtuur City MEC

GG Tybalt.

I was the CO for the US. I could tell we were both having issues keeping our assets up. At around 150 tickets left I was really struggling and so were my squads. Your guys had a nice spread on the Eastern side of that ditch that was almost impossible to breakdown and when we did break it, we were too late. That was the straw the broke the camels back for us.

I think the final score was 18 - 0.

GG to all. Games like this are the reason I play BF2 exclusively on TG servers.
