Sharqi, 9pm EST 10/9

I started as a grunt on FuShe pass and slowly my squad deteriorated as no one wanted to be squad leader. At the very end, everyone had left but me and people started to join again. (Squad 9, named Squad Iris)

By the time Sharqi started we had grown to a squad of 3. I set the first waypoint as the alley flag and our squad finished filling in by the time we made it to the Alleyway. We arrived with light defenses guarding the flag and quickly made it ours. Sausage Maker tasked us with defending the Alleyway flag and that's what Faultline (Medic), J. Silvers (Support), Crooked Bird (Tank) and Grunt (Medic) set about to do.

Over the course of the map, we were tasked with, in order, the City Entrance, Hotel (supported squad 1), TV Station(helped another squad defend), Alleyway. Every flag we were tasked to take fell to us. Perhaps the one I am proudest of was when we were asked to take the Alleyway flag the second time. Sausage Maker asked us to take it back and before we reached it told us that it was probably too much for one squad to take. We took our time against superior numbers and was able to turn the flag with quite a bit of resistance. There were still enemies on the roof opposite the flag and after some well placed grenades the flag was finally quiet.

The US made one last push for the Alleyway Flag and that's about the time that Phil2222 joined us to set up a brick wall defense. The flag greyed for a second, but with all their flags taken, it was a quick mop up.

The following map, Cleansweep my squad (Luuser, Faultline, Snail, Lyricik, Aftermath, Grunt, J. Silvers, and Crooked Bird) defended the MEC airfield successfully against a number of insurgents. Most were well placed squads (led by Bane, Alapo, Improbable Cause) that would harrass us for long periods. At the very end, we split our forces to maintain the Harbor and the MEC airfield that we never let slip.

Great job to all that played in my squad tonight, sorry if I forgot anyone. That was one of the best attacking squads I have ever lead, and we were like a microwave on Defense on Cleansweep (Sat around for long periods, but warmed up quick when called upon).

Thanks again guys!

I joined you in the last few minutes of sharqi and then the whole of the next round on stalemate...

We were tight on defense on the MEC airfield during the Stalemate round. We took down almost every chopper that came in, either with AA, tank fire, or with the .50 cals. Usually it's blistering air attacks taking out whole squads at a time. Felt good to turn it around for a while.

Thanks for the clear concise orders while leading the squad.

Yeah, I tried with my squad to take the airfield and the harbor on the east side of Clean Sweep multiple times. You had a great defense. Trying to take the harbor was fun tho. Good stuff.
