    Friday Night Fights: 10/14/05

We had some really good battles last night. Oman, Karkland, Mashtur, then Mashtur again. The play was better than I've seen it for awhile on a non-password night.

Kudos to everyone that was in my squads last night. I was very, very fortunate to have nothing but great squads all night long. Every objective we had, we got or made a terrible nuisance of ourselves. I really have to remember to write down or screenshot my squads so I can remember you the heck I'm playing with and give appropriate kudo's.

Some of the guys I remember, and I apologize for not remembering all of them:

    Tac-D
    Gixxer
    Dusterhman
    Icky
    Xink
    Jackmac
    Bodo

There must be about 10 more I played with last night, I just can't remember, but you all deserve a pat on the back for doing a great job and putting up with me. If you were in one of my squads last night, please sound off so I can make a note of who was with me.

Karkland was not quite the usual Karkland, but still a meat grinder at the end. It's nice to see some of the CO's trying out some new things on this map.

Mashtur (1&2) were fun even though we got whipped the second time around. My squad kept the arty and scan down on both maps practically the entire rounds. It's reallt apparent on Mashtur that if the MEC does not take and hold the south gsa station you are going to have problems winning that map. The blackhawk is very effective on that map.

Oh, and if you were on one of my squads last night please let me know how I did - good or bad. I'm starting to take a more active role as SL and last night was one of the few nights I stayed SL all night long and it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.

You guys did good during my brief stint as CO on Oman. I would assign a target to take, and it was done, despite some massive amounts of resistance the USMC was putting up.

From a CO's perspective - job well done.
