Gulf of Oman -- Thursday October 21st

GG all. It came out to be a 4 point game, unfortunately in favor of the MEC.

(Insert comment about Oman bias in favor of MEC...)

Anyway, Registrator was our CO for the majority and did a good job. After he left, Beatnik tore himself away from the sniper squad to pick up the slack.

Our squad was best for USA (and overall).

Kudos to Evil-Lemon, JudasKiller, Robocop, Gattling Gary and Alapo.

We went on defense whenever we could but were on offense a lot of the time. Offense was unusually successful. We made eight separate attacks and took control of the enemy flag all eight times. Special distinction in use of armor assets, and Evil-Lemon for his defibrillators.

Actually, our squad was the best on UMSC. The game only ranks you by silly stats. I would like to thank the Academy. It means so much to be recognized by your peers.

That was lots of fun. It was a very frantic ending.

I hope our CO learned something before he left. I know he hadn't learned how to drop arty, but I did see a few supply crates. Thanks to Beatnik for jumping in as CO at the end. It was a pleasant change for those of us on the front lines.

Oh and asch and Bommando. I bet you wish you hadn't missed with that AT rocket. That little room was a bad place to be when a grenade was coming back at you.

Arty was down for USMC for 90% of the round...

Yeah I had a great time sniping that round... I stepped up to CO the last 250 tickets or so. Great job USMC getting it back to such a close game. I know Birdie's squad in particular took a pounding. If we had arty, we would've won, no doubt.

I just remembered another fun thing which happened in that round.

I was working hard at laying mines and the enemy flooded into the flag we were defending. A tank came in, then our tank spawned and they had 2 tanks. I watched with glee as the two tanks backed up side-by-side and found one of my mines. 1 mine, 2 tanks.

Yes, we certainly did, but we did it with panache! Excellent squad leading by Birdie. And was pleasantly surprised to see ya' command for a bit, Beat, nice work. Great job everyone, and close game!
    I heart TG.

I was in the MEC helo squad and I'd just like to compliment the jet pilots on both sides. I believe it was kilrogg who was ruining my day, and we had some outstanding performances on our team too, eggplant had over 100 kills i believe. Anyway, good game.
