Late game-fushe pass
Normally fushe pass sucks horribly, but tonight it was really great. Bommandos squad was defending the far northwest base. My squad started up north of that CP on the hill. My squad consisted of 4 ats, a medic, and a support. Thats how much freakin armor we were up against.
Anyway, as we made our way down the road we kept firing at their armor. Even though I knew they would just get right back in it if we destroyed it, it at least kept their armor in cover where it was least effective against us. We kept fighting till we were southwest of the base and right behind the APC spawns. For about 5 minutes we kept firing on their armor, and periodically got flanked by infantry. Any time a APC spawned i yelled to try to get in it and eventually we cleared all the armor and had a few ourselfs and were able to take the flag. At this point i thought all of the enemy was dead, but bommandos squad took the flag within about 5 minutes, and i was in a bad position for respawns due to thinking they were all dead. We were wiped out, but we had achieved ticket bleed so i became content with staying at the base just east of where we were. At this base we set up mines on the crest of the hill to stop boms armor from coming in from the west. They had infantry come in through the fence and we knocked em back a few times. I asked Nyram (CO) for air support a lot, and im sure i annoyed him real well. Eventually they over ran us but i hid behind the warehouse. We fought our way back and i (somehow) managed to get inside the warehouse. We got a lot of bodies on the flag and turned it. Their armor had moved slightly northeast and came back to rape us as we turned the flag, but we were resilient and managed to destroy all their armor and get the flag back. A few minutes later they broke through with massive amounts of armor, and we lost the flag. By that time i think there were 3 mintues left and we were in the lead. The majority of the guys in my squad i had never even seen on the server before, but it was one of the better squads ive had surprisingly. Id list you guys out, but i have a horrible memory for names. Both my squad and boms squad got best squads. My squad score was 391 and his was 393. What a jerk, he just had to get those 2 extra points to show me up

Re: Late game-fushe pass
Man; I was China CO on that map. You and your squad was a never ending headache for me. I had a really hard time on that map; I usually just get a good feeling about where to drop arty and such, but the USMC was so spread out along the north side of the map that any given target was only one or two guys.
Thanks to all my squads for being so patient with me. We did better once I came to the helm (-100 to -20 by the end of the round), but it wasn't enough to bring in the big win. It definately wasn't one of my better games. I'm glad you had fun though. Frustration at not being able to cap more USMC flags...

Re: Late game-fushe pass
That was a blast man. My memory gets bad this late in the morning. I played with some great guys tonight with Bommando, Gunrack, TG Dirt, Litigator, Nex911, Sassy, Asch, and I know I am not remembering everyone.
Oman was great, 4 ticket win even though we had no business winning (they had the bleed at the end). Sharqi was better, especially the intense fights at the TV station. FuShe at that NW Flags was absolutely ridiculous how drawn out those fights were. We were trying to pick your guys off the upper ridge and it was Non-Stop shelling. We just could not get enough people to man up in the APC's. Nothing more frustrating than to have our own weapons used against us. I did manage to get you from behind that wall and was already cheering when I heard Gunrack say, "Lucky Watch out behind ya." I believe I got the medic, but I didn't last long. Whether it was at the Upper Camp or the Bridge Camp, Tough Battles and your squad deserves mad props for your persistence. I think we would have beaten you by more than 2 points if it wasn't for me hitting TG-Dirts mines. Saw them rolling downhill in the APC and couldn't get the blasted thing to stop rolling. Great games and definitely enjoyed every minute! Lucky Shot |

Re: Late game-fushe pass
That was definitely intense, and highly enjoyable, at the Upper Camp & Bridge Camp flags. The whole round I kept waiting for the Rocky music to cue, as we had two heavy weight SLs going at it: Bommando & his motley crew vs. Santa & his evil reindeer. (Motley crew in a good way; evil reindeer in a, well, evil reindeer kind of way. And I only say motley crew because none of us in Bommando's squad were his typical 7th).
It felt like the whole round that that evil leprechaun Santa just wouldn't die and go away. Literally. His reindeer medic must've had some outrageous voodoo medic skills, because Santa would die, seemingly without a medic around, then surface in a place much further than where we killed him. "Did you get Santa?" "Yeah, I got Santa." "Well, wait...he's still up; Santa's over in the SW area now." "Dammit, is he the SL?" We were about to leave the Upper Camp one time after Bom felt the area was clear, and I told Bom that I knew those freaks (well, I didn't say freaks, just like a little hyperbole) were still there, and lo and behold...guess what, they were still there. Freakin' Santa. Of course, after that, we'd have to listen to another of Bom's tirades about how annoyed he was. Not with us; just one of those general kind of annoyances without a specific target. ![]() In all kidding aside, our squad, made up of Bom, LuckyShot, Dirt013, LITIGATOR, Bodark, and myself, did a great job the whole round, as we did manage to eventually hold onto the Upper & Bridge Camp flags under considerable duress. In fact, besides best squad, a lot of our squad (and Santa's) placed in the top 5. To me, that just shows how intense the engagements were. On another note, even though the stats don't show it, our engineer, Dirt013, did a great job of trying to keep our armor up under the strain of 4 ATs firing at our armor at all times. I don't think our armor would have stayed up as long as it did without his efforts. A very selfless team player, in my book.

It was a great feeling to drop arty on Bommando and his squad though. For a while, early in the game, I was SL for one of the USMC squads and was trying desperately to take the northern camp flags. I think I was leading Santa’s squad but I can’t remember for sure who I was leading now. Anyway, we were lacking a commander and I decided that I was done getting shot by Bommando and Lucky Shot every few minutes, even though I was hanging well back and sniping. I jumped into the commanders chair and went to work doing commander things on the north bases. My squads were great. Helo and Jets were very eager to be given targets to blow up, and kept asking me where I needed them to hit and what they could blow up next. Almost always the answer was to hit the north bases again, and again….. and again. Hell, at least it made Santa’s poor beleaguered squad happy to see the bombs falling on the enemy that was causing them so much pain and discomfort. I also have to commend squad 8 (sorry I don’t remember who was leading it) for single handedly and with minimal commander support, keeping the south of the river in US hands. Great job all and thanks for another awesome TG game. p.s. Santa, (and everyone else too) when I’m in Command or SL for you please don’t hesitate to ask me for what ever you need. Be it intel, supplies, arty or a hug. Its all for the team.
