Sharqi, Fushe Pass 10/31 8:30-10:30 pm PST
I had some fun squad leading Squad 8 on Sharqi & Fushe Pass tonight on All Hallow's Eve. I haven't played much SL lately, but it was fun stepping back up. I'm mostly posting this to give some recognition to my squad members (some who I hadn't seen before), who did a great job, kept the squad fun yet effective, and followed my sometimes chaotic orders. Anyway, our squad helped our team (MEC, China) win both rounds, with Sharqi being 214-0, and Fushe Pass, 141-40.
Some highlights for me: Sharqi: - mani7 (assault): sneaky little mani; I don't how he managed to do it, but he snuck onto the TV station flag numerous times and almost captured it, despite the fact that the whole opposition was in that area (our team had all the other flags). - icky (spec ops): I know he's usually an SL (and an admin), but he also makes a great squad member. His c4'ing the Hotel flag, and saving it from capture numerous times, always made it easier to go and take it back. - indyfossil (medic): revived me on numerous occasions, even on those slippery ridges near the tv station, which I can never seem to do as medic. - thebleakinfinity (sniper): did a good job of providing some much needed sniper support on the attack at the tv station. - wussypoo (assault): as always, a great teamplayer, especially saving my butt by pointing out enemies near my location, and then taking them out, on numerous occasions around the hotel and tv station. Fushe Pass: - Neek555 (AT): great assist guy with the AT. I was also AT on this map, so we made a great 1-2 combo AT punch. I ended up getting a lot of the kills, but without him, it wouldn't have happened. - wussypoo (assault): he stuck with me again. On this map, he was very quick to get on the flags, especially at the East Mine Entrance, where we were having a lot of opposition. The flag went neutral several times, and wussy was always there on the flag to help get it back. - Lucky Shot (support): same great effort as always. He was huge on pointing out numerous things that I would miss, and was key in getting the flags back if they turned neutral. It's great having someone who normally SLs joining your squad as a squad member. He ended up getting disconnected or leaving mid-late round. - indyfossil (medic): revived me too many times to count, especially those critical revives when we were on the attack. The revive on the attack at the East Mine Entrance while under heavy opposition comes to mind. - (Sr) killghost (sniper): he was CO on the previous map, our side (MEC), and was crucial to our winning that round. He joined my squad this round, and was great all around. He flew the attack helo in support of our attacks, helped keep the opposing attack chopper off our backs, and later, did some sniper support. His best effort: staying alive at the Security headquarters flag when all of us had died. He even managed to take it back! He said he was in a good spot, but man, you should have seen the opposition! Good games (and a long enough post, but like I said, I felt they deserved the recognition). Gunrack

Disconnected. Part of the reason why I don't play too late at night as Comcast has a floating outage (30 minutes) sometime between 2am and 4am nightly. That was one I was intending to finish and I couldn't quite do it. Had a blast though in the meantime and was having for me a really good game.
Your squad that level was very effective Gunrack, especially in staying together and moving as a group into a flag. There was good communication as always, waypoints were clearly marked and you pretty much grabbed every objective you set out. It was fun while I was able to play. Lucky Shot |

I don't want to repeat what Lucky said but that was some awesome squad leading. Clear, easy to understand orders.
Thanks for the good time.

Thanks Lucky & Indy. 'Twas fun on All Hallow's Eve. Indy, like I said above, those revives at those critical points, i.e. near the flag we were attacking, really saved the day. It kept the mobile spawn going, and more important, kept up the momentum. I'd also think you would enjoy Lucky Shot's style of SLing, as it is similar to mine, but better. Good games.
