Oman and Karkland 11:00 PM EST

Awesome games tonight. Both were close games <10 points at the end.

Great job commanding by Marstein on Oman and Xpermnt626 on Karkland. US Side both times.

Just wanted to say thanks to my squad Cymba and Tdizzle on Oman and Tdizzle on Karkland. There were some more guys in the squad on Karkland but I dont recall their names, good job guys. Awesome teamwork, always a great time playing on TG.

Most exciting games in awhile. TG rocks

absolutely, had quite a bit of fun on oman, considering we were getting pummeled be arty, airstrikes, helos, and the like. but by far my favorite moment that map was.... SASSY getting SHOCK PADDLED by DARK VIPER!! absolutely hilarious. And it only got better next map, sassy lost karkand while COing. if it seems like im sassy-bashing...i sure am, cause its funny to make her mad. lol.

Both rounds were awesome. I was with Jaymind's squad on MEC both rounds and it was intense. Nice SL'ing Jay, and great job to the rest of the squad: Burble, wussypoo (), FPS_Douglas and I can't remember who else at the moment, there was so much close action.

Re: Oman and Karkland 11:00 PM EST

Really? Thanks. I tried my best to keep everyone informed, but that other team (the MEC) were really strong. They kept taking out the arty (my experience is that they loose interest after a while) and were just attacking in huge blobs.
I was sitting in a bunker on the beach the whole match and was not harmed! Squads 3 and 4 did a great job defending. Everyone was really cooperative.

I was in the Bane2 squad in Karkand and it was great fun taking the factory, holding the only non-MEC flag and at the end going over there, killing the commander (it feels kind of sleazy but if you see her you take advantage, right?) and capping the warehouse. Great communicative team also! My n52 is covered in sweat.

Re: Oman and Karkland 11:00 PM EST

good games. sorry for screaming and complaining, god it was fustrating.

i really think, as far as strategy goes, we should have dominated karkand. with an extremely sizeable portion of the USMC team spawning at the cement factory, we should have capped flags across the river and bled them the whole game.

edit- marstein, that was jaymind's squad killing the arty, douglas C4'd it MANY times, yet it was rarely repaired. it just popped back up every few minutes with no aid.

I just remebered probably one of the best C4 sequences I have seen, it was late in the match on Oman. Douglas was at the US Arty blowing it up. I was an eng in the Attack Helo so I was hovering over the Arty to repair it. Douglas either put C4 on my helo or at the Arty piece I was repairing...and he blew me up. Then when I was dead I got to watch him put C4 on a Blackhawk that had landed then took off at the arty. Two C4 helo kills for Douglas in a minute span...pretty impressive.

douglas was hurting my ears, he was going so nuts after those helo kills. those weren't the only ones, either.

Re: Oman and Karkland 11:00 PM EST

That was awesome, one of the funnest pair of games I've played in a while. Sorry for the yellin, I was pretty excited It's not often I get to stick C4 to choppers.

I'm still curious about how you guys got the factory on Kark. I'm think you may have run an APC down the cliff with a few medics on board and survived the trip, out of bounds, across the water, out of site. Am I right? The only other way I could think was waaaaay north, but there was another squad watching the bridge, and I'm pretty sure you took the factory before the gatehouse and or warehouse. If you guys snuck the APC the way I mentioned, gg. That was surely the difference in a game won by 7 points.

Anyways, great SL'ing by Jaymind and great playing by the whole squad. The defenses put up at the River Fortification and the Factory were some of the best I've had the priveledge to be part of. Thanks guys!

About a week ago, Sassy was complaining that I was killing her too much. I told her that I was going to shock paddle her, but she left that game before I could do it. Well tonight was the night.

I was on top of the Hotel on Oman and I had just seen Sassy kill one of my squad mates and start running up for the flag. I jumped off the hotel, ran past an enemy tank and APC! and shock paddled her, then got blown up. I was laughing so hard, I forgot to take a screenshot

You'll have to ask Gixxer I think it was our squad under his leadership that got it. One minute we were hitting the hotel and next thing I'm spawning East near the factory. I'm pretty sure the medic APC ride is possible though.

It was great to see that map end in something other than a river battle for once. Hopefully this is the beginning of a new trend for that tired, old map.

Re: Oman and Karkland 11:00 PM EST

Great job to my squads on Oman and Karkland.

Defending the River Fortification the entire match was unbelievable, it was definetly one of the best flag defense I have ever been a part of. FPS_Douglas sat on the arty almost the entire map and kept it down (plus the odd helicopter!). Everyone else was directly defending the flag - when we weren't being hit by arty, or bombs we squads consistently in our face. At one point I'm yelling for the CO to drop arty directly behind us because on the radar all I saw was red coming up from the beach and I thought for sure we were done for. CO does a quick scan to see their position, and he goes "Ahh, I think they're all dead". I look and sure **** we had taken them all out. There were a few close calls -a couple grey flags that were taken care of with Burbles C4, but the guys in the squad did a spectacular job.

On Karkland we started out defending the east side and I had my guys in perfect position to spot or stop anything coming in. Sassy was happy with how we were setup, but the next thing I know is we lose the factory and things start rolling up from there. Long story short - I have no idea how in the hell that squad made it back there but they did a hell of a job not being spotted, it was a great fight. We managed to retake the warehouse, then use that to jump off to the factory which we retook. After that it was roll up to the cement factory and shove them back across the river.

We never were without armor, we were always bringing it up to the frontline and FPS_Douglas did a spectacular job keeping the armor repaired and assests up with Burble and Faultine mostly keeping the enemy pinned with it. I can't say enough good things about how the squad responded to the adverse situation we found ourselves in.

It was a hell of a night to SL 2 rounds with such great squads - nights like that that keep you coming back for more.

Anyway, awesome job everyone:

Faultine
FPS_Douglas
Burble
Uberscoober
wussypoo
