Songhua 2/2 PM
Nice job to my squad for Songhua:
Arf, W00zie, PhoenixxFire, Strikeman, SuperDudeBT and later Jaymind.
Excellent teamwork the entire round. Voice comm was excellent, everyone keeping everyone else aware of incoming hostiles. The number of APCs that came through our flag was amazing yet you guys kept taking them down one after another.
Congratulations on best squad for the map.

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
It got incredibly frantic at times, and we lost the flag a few times. but every single time, we managed to take it back within what seemed like a minute.'
Great job Assassin for providing a constant spawn point even after losing the flag.Focused

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
Great games tonight (Songhua > Zatar > Sharqi) !
We had some guest players (Phoenixxfire, Snail, Rooster, Nox, luuser) in 1st MIP squad and I want to thank them all for following squad procedures and leader orders to the letter. I hope you folks enjoyed the game as much as we did. You all did an excellent job.
> We didnt get the best squad spot once during these games
> Most of us were almost at the bottom of scoreboard
In other words, our stats SUCKED !
But our mission success rate was close to 100% tonight. Squad executed all standard procedures (crossfire, ROE, suppress/flank, formations, tactical movement) and most of the time achieved capturing target flag defended by enemy at the first shot !
I want to ask now, is there a single stat reflecting this at the end of game?
How do you measure the quality game these guys put on our servers? Can you give me a stat for it?
I am not advertising 1st MIP or satisfying my ego here. There are several other squads playing on TG like this every night. Sometimes they also get good scores and stats (just like 42nd did tonight) but other times they end up at the bottom of scoreboard with stinking stats.
This AAR is my debt to these dedicated TG players, those brave and reliable soldiers, playing in the 1st MIP and other squads, who dont give a damn to score, stats and medals, spending whole round at their assigned spot/in their assigned vehicle.
Their quality cannot be measured with numbers.
I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. They are the primary reason I am still playing and enjoying this game. For me, they are/will always be at the number 1 position of that scoreboard.

Bleak was with us on Songhua too...
I only had a chance to play the latter half of that map and China was against the ropes when we joined. It took us a spell to get organized but we had some good runs...
First time in a while on server one where it wasn't immediately spawn/die/spawn/die...that's one thing I really like about the maps with lots of room to maneuver...|TG-1stMIP|Coridon

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
I was CO of the US team. I was coasting along pretty good until Santa joined in and then we took some hits and my 80 ticket lead evaporated to 20, then I started to stabalize, got my things in order and then Santa stopped COing and then boom our lead kept growing. I have to give major props to Santa/China just because they were deprived of assets 90% of the game and still managed to keep it close.
Squad 3 performed like a champ above and beyond normal!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to John CANavar again.

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
That was a great squad effort on Songhua.
I thuink the practice of estblishing 2 fire teams for a 6 man squad is very useful. It allowed us to attack objectives from two directions at once.
Great SLing, Canavar. I will look for your squads in the future.
Too bad we lost, but Songhua is a tough map to dominate.Only the dead have seen the end of war.

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
Thanks dude. My squad was squad 3 and that was the most fun I've had on that map in months. We started out trucking across the map in a convoy of APC's, since our first CO stole the Blackhawk to do God knows what. After some warnings from me, he bailed out of the game and luckily you took over as CO.

I got a sweet C4 kill when we obtained the ROFL copter and Eggplant999 flew me over a group of assaulting infantry down the hill. And we had a couple miracle standoffs against some talented squads attacking from multiple directions, helo insertions, etc.
Battles like that map are exactly why I love maps with no UCB's - the stakes are a lot higher at main bases and you're usually guaranteed some great action.

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
That C4 got one of my guys Beatnik.
We all got a good laugh over VOIP when that happened. My squad was the one defending the flag immediately to the east of the MEC main (the name escapes me at the moment).
It was like a never-ending barrage of APCs that kept us quite busy. I stayed hidden most of the round because of those damn APCs and the snipers on the hill that had a great angle down on our flag.

Re: Songhua 2/2 PM
The amount of AARs that I have had to say that instead of "We held it for the entire map", because you come in and pinch it with 5 mins to go is unbelievable. I was very happy to have helped in returning the favour

I started out as an SL in that map, but after looking at the minimap a few times and seeing all the squads in horrible places, i couldnt bear it anymore. I went up as CO and had the fish factory, thinking that was my main base so i repaired my assets. Apparently that wasnt our main base, and i was repairing azreals assets. I was even complainging a lil bit on teamspeak about how my assets were'nt working.
Anyway, that made it VERY difficult to CO being completely blind. I tried a few attacks on our main base, and almost got it once but it went back to USMC after about a minute
After a while i had to eat dinner, and when i came back someone else was CO which requires another one of these

I mean it's not like we were having a "who gets to kill Beatnik" competition either...
