AAR TG EURO NIGHT, March 31

That night featured very diverse battles.

From No Tank/Co on Mashtuur over knifing at Karkand (over 20 players!) to all-out on Sharqi...

Had a hard time on Mashtuur taking that north bridge. AZ002 wiped out full squads with ease using either his shotgun or M24. Nasty fella. My PC crashed only once

Some misunderstandings preceded Karkand. Armor yes/no was not clear from the beginning and the "knives only" agreement needed some time to spread around (to me) - sorry for shotgunning knifers in the face. Establishing on the fly rules after the round started based solely on text-chat is not working too well i think. On the fly rules should really be agreed on at the start of every round or on Teamspeak.

Sharqi 16 was all-out and i was up for some SLing. We started off capping the Office Buildings quick and i moved into position behind the TV station. I had a mixed-kit assault team spawn on me and the others keeping the attackers busy at the Office flag.
Worked pretty well - we capped TV station and had some mad fights between TV and office buildings (didnt see to much of that as i was cowardly hiding in the tv station).

Holding TV gave us 2 tanks but we couldnt get the Office flag from the defenders (C4 and ATs all around).
As charged TV station everyone on the squad did an excellent job holding the flag room. I got up on the roof and grenaded Eggplant who was waiting for the tank to respawn. Fighter grabbed the tank and while they were busy assaulting the TV station both tanks moved in to take Office buildings from them.
With all flags under control we set up a BBQ in the TV station garden and waited for the sun to set. Now that its dark outside i am off to bed for tonight.

    I really enjoyed tonight

It's true that we had communication problems agreeing rules for fewer players eg only fight only this flag, no armour, no heli etc, in my experience you need to arrange those things over TS to make it work smoothly.

Sharqui was the best map for me too, I was with Dawolf and we were on fire, then the server switched me suddenly to the other team ! Fehmart, friendly as always, welcomed me into his squad, and it was my C4 frightening away your tanks (for a while) good night all in all

It's pretty funny to be in the states, log into TG and see an AAR for March 31st when it's only March 30th here. hehe.

Yar, after all the nonsense over "small team rules" was over, Sharqi was a nice diversion. Man, we woulda had that TV station at least a couple of times if I hadn't decided to enter the stairwell with the rest of my squad > : (

The reduced (or fixed, rather) grenade ranges made for some interesting TKs as grenades were thrown short of their target. Specifically, the TV station balcony (the guilty know who they are)...good times lol

    Interesting point of note;

Using smallfatcats web-based server tracker available Here
you can see how a combination of it being very late evening in Europe
and a less popular map like 'Cleansweep' emptied the server completely

Thanks for this tool smallfatcat, its an interesting source of info +rep

hmmm.. i'd actually guess that was more a server-tracking issue, but I could be wrong.

If you look at the curve, it's like data is just missing... if you look at the other times player's join, it's never an instant, all at once jump like that zero 30 players all in the same minute..

but yeah.. that map is kinda rough.

    gg

It was different from some of the others euro nights, as dudeweresmyaka said " this ist the TG I used to love" after some experiments(and misunderstanings) with knifes only etc.. but in general I had a good time! good squad leading DaWolf--(its ON!) and sliver. here's a pic with me wolf, sliver, rock and bluemoon getting ready to rock!!.
