Saturday Night Games...
Thanks to all those who served tonight in Lucky Squad. With Santa at command on Songua, we rolled to a difficult victory where we held the 4 east bases on Songua 32 for quite a long time. Best action for us was retaking the Fish Factory. Syndicate and Intron did a solid job keeping down enemy assets, Sordavie rotated between AT and Medic, A><is was solid as medic and I recorded Timestamp as AT.
Mashtuur was next with CO Bommando calling quickly for Squad 1 to take the Mosque. The US beat us to it and put up a solid defense. With the help of another squad and with Sordavie working his Medic Magic, we were able to take the pin. Best fighting for us was around the Mosque and Backyard although my favorite moment had to be as the US sent Spongebob in a blackhawk to clear us off around the Hill as well as a Humvee on the bluffs. In the meantime, our squad slipped in between the two buildings to pull down the flag as they searched for us on the surrounding hill. DarkViper at one point placed his(enemy) squad on the mosque roof which is always difficult to remove the enemy. Kubra 32 was next with Timestamp slipping into the CO role for about half of the game. We were doing well defending the Intake flag and the MEC held it's own until he left. Once gone, all flags slowly slipped away except the Intake. Thanks to Arf and his squad who helped retake the Intake when we lost it momentarily. Also, props to Sordavie again who worked tirelessly as AT as well as 33rd stalwarts, Bane, Gunrack and Rip. They digested every armor piece thrown at us. Great round even if that was our only loss. Sharqi as usual was a blast even if we started with no CO. Spec Ranger hopped in near the end to provide timely artillery. Our squad including Sordavie (medic), Reader (Spec Ops), Killer Michael (assualt), Gunrack (AT) and near the end That Fat Kid Death (Medic) fought against a well defended Alleyway flag slowing down our squad more than normal. The US threw quite a bit at that flag as squad 1 defended for a while. We finally lost the flag under an onslaught of 2 squads moving in. After they moved onto the city entrance, we recapped the Alleyway before pulling out and taking the TV station for the remainder of the game. Solid job by all those who were in my squad tonight and I apoligize as I know I missed some names. Lucky Shot |

Re: Saturday Night Games...
I was playing medic on Kubra. Through Kubra and Mastuur, you died only 5 times total Lucky
Sharqi was a bit hectic with close quarter combat and grenades, and I think we got seperated a bit more. Tonight was a lot of fun.

Ya great fun, me and Arf had a blast .. i think. When arf is in my squad, something strange like magic teamkill missiles will happen. or like today, a Mig-29 died from a M1A2 tank shell.... Masshur was nice, my squad follow orders and improvised well, Kubra was suicidal for me, good job to Arf and Lhthkul. Sharqi was a nice comeback, Arf was a good sub-SL defending hotel flag whil i lead the rest assaulting the Construction sites and Survelliance post.

Re: Saturday Night Games...
Well... It went well at the Hotel because nothing really happened until Dark Viper's squad decided to take it and by that time we were more focused on Alley/Surveillance/Construction. Since I was on the crane I wasn't in a position to stop them all so I just began Operation: Mild Nuisance. It worked for a while but then Undead shot me and I lost my M24. It was probably for the best since I was down to my last 3 rounds and basically under siege.
I'd also like to mark this game as the first time I was in a jet squad with Ed and we didn't suffer a single TK. Probably because there was only one jet but you take your victories where you can.

Re: Saturday Night Games...
I thought it was a horrible night - between the lag ( which made it almost impossible to play at some points), to squads not listening to orders,etc... I guess it was just one of those nights for USMC. I logged in during the Oman slaughter and that set the tone for the night.
I will say this - everyone of my squads gave out better than it received and they all did an excellent job. Unfortunately, by the time Kubra rolled around I was dead on my feet from planting trees in my yard all day and wanting my bed so my SL'ing got a little lack-luster. Then I CTD'd and that was it for me for the night. Last edited by jaymind; 04-23-2006 at 05:15 PM. |

Re: Saturday Night Games...
phenom if that happens in the future, hop on TS and let an admin know. It is a rule that SLs follow orders on our server, and a warnable/kickable offense if they ignore those orders.

When that squad left Mosque open, it allowed the MEC to take it rather easily which allowed them to completely envelope my squad at backyard. We managed to fight off 2 of the 3 squads attacking, but we were just overwhelmed. Props to Bom though for exploiting a weakness very quickly. Phenom - you did all you could. You excellent to have in the squad and a fine CO. Most of the mistakes my squad made sat night were because of crappy orders from me, nothing they did. Still shaking the rust off, but I'm getting there. Forgot how much it can wear you out SL'ing for a night. |

Re: Saturday Night Games...
A fun couple of rounds (Kubra, Sharqi) in your squad, Lucky. It seemed like every flag we were at that night (Intake, Alleyway, TV Station) was always hot, so it was my kind of fun. Too bad we didn't win Kubra, but we never did permanently lose Intake, and we did get payback on Sharqi. Great job SLing, and hope to run in your squad again in the near future. Good games.
