Mashtur/Karkand 06/02/06 - Friday Night
I've got to give big props to all those in my squad Friday night on Mashtur:
Dustermahn

We started off the night (MEC) grabbing the chopper and heading to South Gas, which we took and dug in. We repeatedly fought off wave after wave of attackers for half the round. At one point the radar just showed one enormous blob of red over us - there had to be 3 squads there and we somehow managed to keep the flag. And while we allowed the flag to go grey, we didn't lose it until up about half way into the map when we were the only flag left on the eastern side and they just overwhelmed us. But, we made them pay a very heavy price for taking that flag.
After they took that flag we went and took back the Power Station flag and held on to that in the face of some very determined attackers that were bleeding over from the backyard.
I can't say enough good things - some of the best coordinated defensive stands I've been apart of.
On Karkand we lost icky for the night, but Kilrogg joined up. Him and his tank really put a crimp in the USMC's side trying to get to us at Suburb's. They never got close to taking suburb's away from us that round. After Suburbs settled down, I took the squad out to hotel, then rolled up to Square and Train Accident retaking those flags. From there, we went across the river and retook Gatehouse and Cement Factory. By that time the game was mostly over, so we went back and retook Square. Great job by all this round also.

10-4 SL. You did an awsome job. I think i would need 20 more I.Q. points and need to increase my neuro synapses firing capacity like 20% to handle a night like that if I were SL.
Nice sig lol!!

That was great fun Jaymind. Good job to the whole squad pulling off the impossible. They hit us with all kinds of varying attacks, but we always managed to stay one step ahead. The sharp in-squad comms was a key component in keeping that South Gas flag.
Peace through fear... since 1947!

I was CO for Karkland on the UCMC side...tough map and good solid "D" your part...We got our butts handed to us on that one. Good job guys. I had one squad backed up w/ Ed Chang by himself on another (thanks again Ed- you were clutch on the West Side when Squad 2 needed you) to harass the suburbs while everyone else was doing their best to get to the east side or the Train Station. My plan didn't work as well I thought it was going to, it was a sobering experience.
