Sunday 1-28 Tac Mod

Tac Mod is one of my favorite bf2 mods, and tac mod Sunday something to look forward too. Sadly we have been unable to manage a full squad for either side most of the nights...last Sunday it didn't get off the ground at least when I was there. I decided tonight to keep a list of who came and went, I think I got most of them. So a big thank you to the following 26 players who came in and played at least a few minutes of Tac Mod. Saw alot of great teamwork coupled with solid tactics. Also below is a list of the maps we played and the ending score.

This map finished as I joined around 8pm est, I have no idea what the score was on this one.

A.T.O.M China 145 USA 0
This map didn't last that long, China pushed through eastern flag then around to the USMC main base as the USMC were busy moving in to defend the western flag.

Bocage 2005 China 0 USA 119
USMC returned the favor from the last map by driving a jeep into Chinas rear flag and promptly captured it. Then partially repulsed a counter attack, before
deciding to abandon the flag and take the middle power plant flag instead. USMC separated with Troublesome and Ghalas playing defense on the main base while Thez(NL) and his squad including myself defended the middle flag. Most bridges were blown early on and it became a long range shooting battle.

Codename Valhalla China 0 USA 144
Believe this is the one with the aircraft carrier off the coast with 3 flags on mainland. We suffered a die off on the server population and
it almost caved. Thankfully we had more join, including some who had left before. This map didn't last long as Chinas only flag was neutralized several times and suppressed with 50 cal from Humvees.

Jibbel City MEC 5 USMC 0
One of the better rounds tonight fighting over the square flag. Each team proved stubborn to dislodge once they got that flag. I ended up as
squad leader for MEC. D.Blonov proved a able sniper, as well as calling out targets to give the defenders a early warning. MEC was down early on but we
were able to bleed out the USMC to tied ticket at 7. At about that time one of the USMC ran into flag radius and neutralized our bleed. We managed to
recap the flag and let the bleed drain the last couple tickets we needed for the win. Screenshot of our squad on the defense earlier in the round.
Operation Phoenix MEC 46 USMC 0
Some great squad versus squad action, fighting over the construction site flag. D.Blonov squad leading for MEC. USMC managed to sneak into the flag radius several times
wiping us off the flag. Forcing us to recapture the flag at the cost of heavy causalities. The medics did well undoing the work of the other side throughout the
round. Here's a screenshot of Bleak following sniper Coridon for a ways yelling after him before sticking the knife in. Alas they went out of my view before the deed was done.

Inishail Forest ---ended short, server population jumped ship. Some people were having problems and had CTD.

Kubra Dam----ended short
Tried to reseed the server but POE2 was going too strong for Tac Mod to pull anyone away. I crashed and decided to call it a night.

Thanks for the AAR! Too bad I can only squeeze in 1-2 rounds on Sundays

So when's the next TACMOD night ?

Looks like we had a decent number of players show up. The next hurdle is getting everyone to show up at the same time.

Yeh it was fun, it was getting late when Jibbel City started so I headed for the sack.
Bocage was pretty good, me and my squad wanted to return the backflag cap from ATOM so we took a jeep and went all the way around the back and capped it when they were at the center flag, by the time they got back, we took center and defended it all the round.

AT mines come into their own on low populations, no new guys running into them.

Hey guys,

Even though I was only able to play one map...I had a great time. Felt like old times after about 5 minutes. I would love to be able to play some Tac Mod with you all. However, a great wife and two small (9 and 7 yrs.) kids really restricts my gaming time. Couple that with Armed Assault and I won't be able to make as many tac mod nights as I would like.

Anyway, it was a great time!!! I'll be back when I can!!

I hate to say this but I have been dissapointed with Tacmod nights as of late. We have very low turnouts and I even think the game play is starting to drop off. Tacmod is my FAVORITE online experience. I am excited for it all week long because it is simply the greatest online gaming in existance. It shames me when we have such very low turnouts and we have people taking backflags that should be agreed upon as UCBs and using armor when we only have 4 or 5 guys on. The holiday break we took from Tacmod really hit hard and none of the people that used to play ever play anymore. Come on guys, every Sunday be there and support the mod made by and for your favorite gaming community. Show the love! Come and play!

P.S. What happened to Tacmod Thursadys, I would love to see that return.
