    Co-ing al basra

I wanted to recount my experience co-ing al basra on the us side. The mec don't get a co if I'm correct.

The thing is, in my opinion, if the us is really well organised, they can really destroy the us.
The key is to get the us off that airfield, and get usable plane and chopper squads. Yesterday I had 2! 6 man chopper squads at one time...and the choppers didn't even stay with one of these squads. It was chaos really. I would see A10's flying around as I REALLY needed them to attack a spawn car. Gave an indicator to their SL, but nothing happened.

The few times a responsive air vehicle was available, it was very effective. I would precisely indicate enemies, close to friendlies. With a quick warning to the squad under fire, the Cobra would swoop in with deadly results. I can't believe the cobra or the A10's can be effective without CO support; he is the only one that can tell them where or how to attack to help friendlies, and the only one that can prevent the massive amounts of FF that occur on this map.

I was excited playing this map as co, because I realized the potential of staging awesome combined arms attacks. As our team did when taking facility. All squads at this time were obeying orders and completely surrounded that flag, then capped it.

After that we weren't able to push up more, so I decided to change strategy, and order all to make a front line at the road that cuts the city in half from N to S.
Boy, was that ever a mistake! Suddenly upon hearing that ALL squads were to defend there, the old pubbie hearts took over and they ALL proceeded to attack...*cries*. Well all, they did leave the trustworthy MIP to get slaughtered on their own on the flag . 5 minutes later we were back to were we started with as our only flag the village.

That is when I felt tired of it, and was able to join the MIP. We did win the round in the end though.

PS: To illustrate how different PR is to vanilla, see this screenshot. If you did this in vanilla, you would not be successful in this formation. In PR reality these guys were doing some excellent spotting and killing. With the large amount of forces operating in proximity on aasv2, I find keeping a tight formation in the chaos to often be more effective. This fornication is a little too tight in my opinion though.
It must have been very cold that day, or they just like each other very much.

Perhaps a revisit of password nights like on the POE2 server with a rotation of maps that includes an al basarah round.

Who is fornicating here(wow...so this is what it feels like to be root )

Anyway, we had the perfect squad and the perfect kits at this time. We expected "heavy" armor, but none showed up. So we just dug in and waited. But that was a good pic to illustrate the need for different formations and tactics.
