Al Basrah Feb22 11pm w. 1st-MIP
I believe my squad was made up variously, of Grunt, Kahn, Sam, BigGayAl, Drunk, Mosely, and in the last round, John.C as my Sargent.
Had trouble keeping the fireteams fully staffed with cpu failures among members, but we managed to stay cohesive, moreso once John.C was Sargent. Practiced bounding overwatch moving to various targets (we were Insurgents), and used verbal method (as opposed to signal flares), which saves SL time and avoids lots of looking at the map. This was done with great success, and on numerous occassions the SL was saved from death by Alpha's quick 'hold we are under fire' communications. This map requires extra caution to keep the SL alive, as insurgents have no medics with pads, and spawn points are unrealiable (mobile).
Highlight was in the last moments, striking out across open ground, dogging helo and A10's -- made it quite far but not all the way, but we all had a great time and I believe we made strides as a team. Cohesion continues to improve.
Always a challange to meet the high standards set by John.C for squad movement, communication, and formation.

Pleasure to server under you and with the mentioned names in the same squad, playing the game 1stMIP style with tight organization, discipline and coordination E-male.
One of those great moments was when Dirtboy, as A2 (AT), shot the Cobra attack chopper forced it to fall back during one of our two fire team bounding movements.
The key to any 1stMIP operation is the fire team cohesion. Once fire team members practice the discipline of following their fire team leader, from the start to the end of the round, after every single respawn, without needing a verbal "regroup" order, it all comes together. This kind of situational awareness is very hard to achieve in computer games due to game limitations but certainly not impossible.
It requires "All right, I am a fire team member and my job is to follow the fire team leader, keep him alive. I will let him lead the way, I will let him decide where to go, which position to take, when and where to engage. My job is support" mentality. I like to play as a fire team member as much as I like to play leadership positions. Because once we operate as a coordinated unit, it really doesnt matter which role you are playing. Every single achivement or failure becomes a collective experience. We succeed together, we fail together. That's the squad spirit !

Yeah that was a really good match.
