Qwai 2/27
Played just for a little bit tonight before my fiance wanted to spend time. It was fun, played in the Crapstain squad and it was all I could have anticipated.
Anyway, on to the highlights. We spent most of the round being ferried around by Rapaki in the helo squad (THANK YOU!). He did a great job. But there was one time he didn't have a helo for us, so we took a HMMWV to our objective. Let's just say it's a good thing we spent most of the round in a littlebird:

Rap made some pretty amazing pickups. One of the best was when he simply told our squad "Get in the river" ... "Gonna get crazy" ...

Unfortunately, Brass and I got left behind, so we worked on our backstroke (not pictured).

PR is quite fun when you find the right squad."No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

Re: Qwai 2/27
Slightly off topic, but early Monday morning I was playing Qwai River on the server and hopped in IronTaxi's squad on the Chinese side. Yes, the guy who designed the map. He appeared to be a fantastic SL but about 10 minutes into the game he received a cell call, went AFK and then returned to say he had to go.
I inherited the squad and we had a commander (|DC|Aschensomethingorother) and I asked if |DC| = Don't Camp and he said no, it was for Dutch Clan. He was a fantastic CO and when we lost the Pagoda flag just southeast of our main he sent my squad there to retake it. All in all it's one of the greatest flags to contest in BF2; lots of hills around the flag to place rally points, an open square in the middle surrounded by tall buildings on three sides. I was able to crawl to the top of one of the hills with an open view of the flag area. I would call in arty and see bodies fly all over, send in my guys to cap, they would fall back after doing so, the enemy would return and neutralize the flag, I'd call in arty, rinse repeat. After about 25 minutes of this tug of war someone in the squad located the enemy rally point and blew it up. I was mildly dissapointed because it was such a frenetic battle for nearly half an hour.
Anyway, I wanted to say I've recognized quite a few names on the server lately and rubbed my chin and thought "where have I seen that name before...??". Then a map will load and I'll see that the person had some involvement in the map design or development. Nice to know that TG is the place to play for all those guys...|TG-1stMIP|Coridon

Re: Qwai 2/27
I had a really good squad, we defended the hell out of estate. The OpFor couldnt hold it for crap. We ended up losing the map, but I will sleep better at night thinking that it is better to lose and have COMPLETE teamwork than Win and have a bunch of pubbies running around like retards. I have to give special props to my Squad, and to PFC. Rapaki(Blackmain) for some stellar chopper skills. There were a few times that we did a roof insertion and pulled it off with flying colors and there was once that we died instantly.
In one of the pics Evo has shows a Humvee in the water...that was me
I went over the hill and the river was right there...I bailed out along with my mediic and the rest of the team died
(sorry guys)
The Highlight of the whole game was when we were again defending Estate and the Enemy decided to copy us and do a roof insertion. I noticed this and quickly ran up to meet them. While he was hovering, I placed 2 slams on the nose of the chopper and told my team "Watch this". Well after we killed all the soldiers that were on the chopper...you can here in the faint distance...BOOM!!!...BOOM!!!. Needless to say that chopper wasnt gonna try that manuver again.
Again to all my squad, Great Games

Re: Qwai 2/27
yeah you guys had some good flying going on there. but in basic concept you held on to / recapped that flag cause of the constant chopper attacks which we had no formula against. it should be noted that the aa kit is completely useless and made your life THAT much easier.
anyway we had some stellar team play under dawolfs lead and tried hitting you hard, and in the end it was victory for us, no clue though where you encountered pubbies running around like retards.
ps: i suck at calling trooplevels & the floor number on the estate ^^

Props to Rapaki for running a great Helo insertion squad and still managing to taxi the other squads in as backup for our assaults.

Re: Qwai 2/27
We (TOC) spent the whole map avoiding that chopper. In the beginning I grabbed a sniper kit and jumped into a jeep. The insane driver did a cross country (no roads) run for the government buildings on the other side of the river. I couldnt get out until he stopped. Because we lost the fishing village by then, I crawled to a rice paddy at rivers edge and started to snipe across the river. I felt I was being a real pain to those who spawned there.
Once we got our squad regrouped, we moved according to the CO's orders. We had an officer, medic, 2 snipers, and 2 other kits. We enjoyed the map and the struggles for the different flags. As this is only our second night to play this as a squad, we are still learning this great mod.
