Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
Another documented German win. The German team pretty much dominated this round by quickly pushing Ukraine down to the Bunkers. Our squad kept applying pressure to the flag to keep in an effort to keep them contained. After continuosly clashing with the 7th squad, we did succeed in capturing the Bunkers. However, Ukraine got loose and managed to take a couple of other flags. Still, Germany kept them down to one or two flags for the majority of the game to maintain the bleed. Final score: 234-0. Nice work!
Props to my squadmates Pierre, Clawhammer, Viper, Alapo, and Sordavie for some outstanding teamwork.

I've seen Germany win several times but 234-0 is quite impressive.

Re: Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
That was a fun round, good fights at the bunkers.
Great shooting with the AT rounds bane, I need to start trying to dodge those. Against most players standing in one spot is the best bet since they will always miss hehe.

Re: Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
Judging by the map and kill messages going by (and now the scoreboard), it seemed like the 7th and 33rd were in a knock-down, dragout brawl at bunkers for pretty much the entire round!
oh yeah, check that out... Certainly looks like DV and pierre were spending some quality time together!
I had my squad at Cabin for the round.. jmaker, project, DaV, ordo, and jeonheyon. Did well intercepting probes along the OoB lines to the SW and NE... We did finally get pushed off the flag with about 5 minutes left in the round, but by that point we had a sizable lead - respawned across the river and after a short RIB trip, captured watermill with little resistance.
Anyway - gg's - been a while since I've played Spies!

I was messing around with the engineer kit the whole time. I realized about half way through the round that you get HE grenades along with smoke grenades. And, that you can't hit anyone with the shotgun with regularity at further than 20m. Haha

Re: Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
Thank ye. I remember an awesome shot I got on you when you were behind some barrels. I cracked up laughing when I managed to kill you with that one. The highlight is that E-Male caught a great shot on video of me blowing away two of his squadmates. That's a keeper.
But the Bunkers fight was really funny. We kept yelling at each other trying to take that flag. I was surprised when we did capture it. The rest of the round wasn't quite the same afterwards. Always a pleasure to go head-to-head with a worthy opponent.

Re: Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
Ya, we were able to secure bunkers quite well, but it ended up being our only flag for most of the round. Our squad moved out and spread between Launch Site and Bunkers for a short time, and our team briefly got bleed, but we were unable to hold both.
The highlight of the map for me was when Shakey and I moved up on Launch Site and found a squad of guys prone on the hill, looking toward Bunkers and not noticing us. We turned them into a neat pile of bodies before they knew what hit them.
The lowlight of the map was when I moved up to revive someone but took aim to take out Bane before going for the revive. Just then, a "friendly" medic jumped in between me and Bane, blocking my shot, and revived the guy in front of me, setting us all up to die with one easy rocket.
Still good fun though. Embiggener did a fantastic job leading us.Peace through fear... since 1947!

Spies 3/15 9:00 PM PST GER 234-UKR 0!
I see BaneII had an AAR for this same game. I joined 'Lucky' squad, to find DaVinci by himself (he immediately left and rejoined, that sneaky son of a...
)
Anyway, we were Germs and started defending Watermill until more flags were capped. We repelled a few weak forays by a lone wolf until all but the bunker was captured.
By that time Neofatum and L33tCrawdad had joined us (to be followed later by SF TimesNewRoman and Monk3y.01), and we moved to defend Launch. DaVinci kept us supplied and the others played anti-infantry, with Neo going sniper. I played medic.
At first with just 3 of us, we arranged ourselves in a diagonal line to the SE of the flag just below the ridge, with a staggered line of sight, Neo forwardmost, toward Bunkers.
This gave us a nice early warning of approaching units, and should the first in line get taken out, the second could keep eyes on and suppress, if needed.
If both got taken out, I was N. of the flag behind a rock pile, and could allow respawn in relative safety. We were about 100 M apart.
As things heated up, we got in several skirmishes and generally held our own as other squads put out fires and tried to contain Bunkers. Camp fell, giving us a more Southward threat axis, but by that time we had a full squad. Soon after, other flags began to fall, and we lost Watermill. At this point I lost my connection, as is my wont every 45-50 minutes, and when I got back in we were assaulting the mill with TimesNewRoman leading. We managed to repel boarders (Yaaarrrh!!) sending E-male and his scurvy dogs to a watery grave before the flag turned. Much tea was brewed in their bilge-begotten skulls, yar-har-har! That'll teach ye to try and touch my mizzenmast!
I think we then returned to beat off some miscreants around the launch site, and then the game was pretty much over, the UKR having sustained heavy bleeding for much of the round.
One high point was when I was hiding behind the sandbag wall to the S. of launch as we repelled an attack from the hill to the West. My guys would jump over the wall, shoot until wounded, jump back over and get healed, and go back to the fray.
Finally one of the hilltop guys got wise and started firing on my position. I announced this, and within seconds two of my Non-TGers (I think it was Crawdad and Monkey?) were there, laying down cover fire while I threw medpacks out to heal first myself, then my backups, who were getting fire.
At the end of the exchange, 3 enemies were dead, and we were all at full health.
All the visiting guys on my squad were really great about playing the TG way: following orders, communicating and having a good time. SF TimesNewRoman did a fine job at SL too.
My thanks for another great round, and a rare win as Germans on Spies Like Us! Hope to see all of you around, and make sure you post if you followed my invitation to read this AAR!
Welcome to TG!

I'll bet that was us! I shoulda just posted here, not sure why I made a separate one of the same round...wanted to make sure all the visiting members in my squad noticed it, cause I said I would write them up.
Kudos to:
DaVinciCode
Neofatum
Monk3y.01
L337crawdad
[SF]TimesNewRoman
They're all on the scoreboard in the top 20!
Awesome game!

Re: Spies 3/15 ~11:30 EST
Oh man I forgot about that, it was hilarious. I followed you guys for about 15 seconds or so running right behind somebody. I started off by knifing that guy in the back and started shooting and nading everybody else. It turns out there were way more people than I originally thought or somebody was reviving like crazy. I got owned shortly after that.
