Air power on Basrah, 04-02-07
Lots going on tonight, lots indeed.
Again, as I have for the past week or so, when we have air transport assets I start an air operations squad for the purpose of rear base to front line, or evacuation helicopter operations. We were fairly successful tonight, extracting and moving multiple squads. With the excepting of a little ground incident we were able to keep the helicopters up for the whole round. Heres a picture of the type of operations we were running. I'm hovering the gunship, dispensing flares and providing suppressive fire as the slick swoops in and picks up squad 8 for relocation ![]() Special thanks to the 160th's Fallosophy and JBRanger, and whom ever else was in the squad. After about 45mins I was booted for a supporting member, one day I will become one, one day. But hey I got my mic working, so slow progress. |

Yea, that was a lot of fun. Using the two helos in coordination on Basrah GREATLY improves your chances of staying alive.
