AAR Video: Insurgents Attack Tanks at Al Basrah, April 3
Insurgents Attack American Abrams Tanks
Dateline: Al Basrah City, April 2, 2007.
TG’s embedded videographer and amateur wedding planner, E-Male, reporting from the front lines of HyperReality.

While embedded with insurgent forces in Al Basrah, I captured a FRAPs video record of an American Abrams tank committing suicide by driving directly into insurgent-held territory (A Wal-Mart parking lot) without any infantry support. TG’s Battlerecorder provided footage of the same incident from the third-person point of view.

For the first time, I used ambient sound tracks from the Battlerecorder footage to add sound to my FRAPs record, which only captures my voice. The result is a seemless audio track. The first attack segement (1:30 minutes long) required 18 edits.

For a better viewing experience, download and play.
This will give you a larger 640x480 screen.
Enjoy.

Ha ha, that's me prone behind that first tank. Someone Mol-o-tov'ed me!!
You should've gotten my perspective in there as well. It was the first time I used the actual "insurgent" kit and I had trouble locating the IED.
So while I was prone behind the tank I pulled out my knife, then my rifle, then grappling hook, then molotov...where the hell is that IED?!?!? Oh man...|TG-1stMIP|Coridon

E-Male, you must try this software, its an alternative to fraps for recording 1st person and on 31st march they released a patch so that it can work with BF2
http://www.growlersoftware.com/download.html
It is just better. The main benefit is that it only eats about 5% of CPU cycles instead of fraps's approx 30% CPU cycles, so you don't have to lower your video settings to record. There are also many more options on the quality of video you capture. There is even an option to export sound only.
Try it, you will be glad you did !

great job Emale. It's a lot of fun reliving our battles through your efforts. I think you've come very far in a short time, in regards to editing etc. Good work.

Does everyone see these "media" tags or is it my browser security setting that do this somehow? just wondering. What it's like to play online games as a grown-up:http://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-i...e_gaming/1.jpg

Al...I see only the embedded video player...it must be your security settings as you've speculated.
