Ghost Spotted in Al Basrah April 26
While playing in the 1stMIP squad around 9pm last night, under Coridon's command, I saw an old ghost, a giant of a man, long thought gone from these virtual realms. I'm sure I also heard bits of my favorite Warren Zevon song floating through the air, 'Roland was a warrior from the land of the midnight sun, with a Thompson gun for hire, and fighting to be done.'
The ghost did not say much, he moved swiftly, silent and deadly, like this was just another of a thousand wars he walked through.
I'm sure others saw the ghost, saw him check our six, saw him on point, spot enemy, yell 'contact, south west' and then moments later 'contact down.'
Finger on his trigger, knee deep in gore, his comrades fought beside him, they were good, but this ghost was the best. I can still see his headless body stalking through Al Basrah, the eternal Thompson gunner still wandering through the night.
His ghost still keeps up the fight.

His unmistakable voice was sweet music to my ears.... The warrior does indeed still roam this virtual realm...
