Rolling Thunder, 2200, 5-23-07
A whole lot of fun tonight on one of my least favorite maps.. A narrow win for the Ukes (20 tix is all, if that) and a big shout out for our squad for a whole lot of good D at the Farm: thanks, Marstein, Doc, Turtle, Ir8deShock, and ankles, I think.
It seems the whole last 2/3rds of the map was spent defending that farm from the likes of DarkViper, sumlove, DirtyBerd, Northernco (man, it was a lot of "Northern is STILL out there..."), and a EuroTiger pilot that we just couldn't bring down... Doc decided the AA pickup was cursed...
I will say we earned a 20 ticket advantage through bleed and did a fine job of holding it just long enough for the win... I believe it was Vipers crew that eventually ran us off at farm with not quite enough time for them to make back the difference in tickets. We made a couple runs at getting the farm back , but Icky convinced us to stop that by taking 4 of us out at once when I ran too close with a full dingo. We ended up just trying to take their last tickets from afar-ish, as it were...
It ended up one of those games I love on this server: a great squad, huge efforts, certain enemies that end up under my skin, and a close finish. Thanks...

That was a fun round. You defended the Farm really well. I thought we were fighting more than squad. That was a tough battle not only fighting you guys but being chased by Mantis and his artillery.

Burning spies is cool.

There were definitely other guys bopping about now and again (I wish they'd chime in here) but I can't remember who or what they were up to. I think I had web-battle fatigue... At one point Gooder (who's squad was holding Train Yard) came over team speak and asked if we were bored at the farm- my answer was something along the lines of "it hasn't stopped for 20 minutes!"
The whole reason we went for that farm in the first place was Doc's insistence: "I have nightmares about that bridge," he says...

I was surprised Viper gave up trying to kill me in the arty but by the time he quit I was paranoid enough to move way off north so I guess it did the job anyway.
