Lutsk, 9 July

The Poe server has been hurting a little lately, but we got in some good games tonight... This round of Lutsk was a 2-0 win for the Ukes turned slightly tense, and I'd like to give props to squadmates Marstein, Anvil, Spets2005, and Hitman for holding it all together when I finally figured out we could actually win the round... I'm a bit slow sometimes. BC2id was with us for a bit, too, but he got switched, and joined ranks with the evil forces of the decepti... um, I mean York and Axis and Eflight and Co. I didn't get the the CB, either, Anvil, but he was a good player. I don't think I'd seen him around before.

Tactics were fairly non-existent, as we were fighting over the center flag only. Both teams had two full squads to duke it out with. The center flag switched hands a few times, and I remember we had a hard time clearing cyco105 off the church-top, but we took it finally, and started racing to bleed the Germans out. Somebody did try an endrun to take our castle from us, but we nixed that guy and held on for the win, draining their last 8 or so with only 2 tix left on our side. It was a good time.

I remember York and I being taunted about being spanked but, alas, we were on the giving side.

And of course once York went to help your poor hapless squad you guys were doing much better

Good rounds by all. Looks like I missed the khaerus comeback latter in the evening.

This was indeed a good game; unfortunately as others joined, one didn't understand that it was center flag only. Once the GER's Farmhouse flag was capped, we had to split forces to go get it back, and even though the person acknowledged that he was to give the flag back, he still killed the single person sent back to get it...
So we had more go over there and that's when we lost Church. When I saw one of our guys going to Castle I told him to get the heck out of there because we were trying to restore the balance. Unfortunately for not just our side, but everyone who was playing so well the whole game, we'll never know who would have won if the rules had not been inadvertently broken. I know it's sometimes unavoidable.

Anyway I and many of my squad were cheering for your guys' tight squeak of a win at the end, mixed with a lot of good-natured cursing, trash-talk and discussion of how many hax you guys were using.

This was the beginning of a long run of good games that went on for some time. I think Monday Nights are definitely the can't-miss POE night!
