I sat in the command chair for most of the night. Won at Qwai River USMC 100ish - 0, dominated on EJOD mec 200+ - 0, lost on Operation Ghost Train British 0-3.
Overall this has to be one of the best password nights in a while. I had responsive squad leaders that followed orders!! Couple of minor issues on Qwai River with a few problematic players but it was taken care of by an admin.
I will admit I could have done more on Operation Ghost Train by sending a squad to defend temple, possibly winning the game.
I need some feedback on my commanding performance. Thanks
You have to be kidding. Unbelievable. We had the Chinese base grey on ghost train. I had been in the transport chopper all round, spotting and waiting for someone to transport. Then I'm on the way with (if I remember correctly) 3 passengers (1SL) to drop them off in the water nearest the Chinese main. Coming in low over the river, I slow down just above the water, and suddenly I see a box saying "you have been kicked etc." I mean omfg! I was laughing out loud at the irony of it all, but to think that those tickets would actually be decisive! God was against the Brits on this one is my conclusion.
On commanding.
I think the early bunker strat is sound. I prefer the flexibility you have in placing a fire-base as first structure in hostile territory, compared to a bunker.
It was also great fun on qwai, defending all round on the tips of our toesand still winning.
Generally, it was a very good pw night imo, much thanks on our side to xcannon for commanding so much.
The round on Operation Ghost train was incredibly close. There was a time when I had a squad cap the Chinese Recon Post (main base) but we were unable to keep up the pressure on Trenches and Train mainly due to the chinese camping South Bridge when it wasn't in play, thus 2 entire squads were cut off. Slowly we lost ground and the chinese managed to rebound. I take some responsibility for the lose though, I should have had a squad defend temple.

I missed out on this round...my vid card was starting to overheat the round before that and I got a CTD.
Anyways, that tactic of cutting off reinforcements is a viable one...I wouldn't consider it camping,it apparently helped them get trenches and train back. Sounds like you did a great job at commanding though, props.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
