Qwai,7 Gates

First off,I'de like to thank Warehouse for a great round on Qwai River on the U.S. side. We spawned at processing and took goverment office with no action. As we moved to take Fishing Village,we put a rally down to the west,in a depression in the hills. We had to fight our way from the road north to the position,it was pretty easy going. I ended up with 5 kills in 15 seconds with some wicked burst action from my M16,everybody else in our squad got in on some action too...an APC downed, along with 3 other infantry and a Commander truck. After putting down our rally west of the barn,we moved to buy Squad 1 some time to take Fishing Village,as we had two tanks roll up. We quickly grabbed some light at and forced one tank to bug out (2 LAT kits and 6 rockets later). Moving up to take out tank #2,we got mowed down. A few of us spawned engineer and put a flanking manuever on him. Some C4 made quick work of the armor. Well,it was time to rinse and repeat. We had another APC and the armor that retreated come back up. We held them off until we had taken temple. I'm a bit fuzzy on the rest, but warehouse could fill you in. It consisted of attack and defend at both estate and temple. Supply line attack. And a bail out from a chopper over the water that our team MVP (Tweaky) was piloting. Sorry I dont remember who all was in our squad, but we had a great time, laughing and having fun the way the game was supposed to be played.

Now,for 7 Gates. I had made a squad for attacking the Outpost on the British side,as we were Chinese. Drifterdave, lokka,Hessen, sinusoid, and youm0nt all were great squad members to have. We spawned at River Fort, and they covered my crossing to the wooded island to the north, and vice versa till we had enough for a temporary rally before our assault. We got there with out a hitch, and same thing for the next open crossing to the west. Once we got across though, all hell broke loose. An enemy squad came off the hill onto me,drifterdave, and sinusoid. Somehow,we withstood this ambush and gave our guys at river fort some more time, even though they knew we were there. We finally get a secure area east of outpost for a rally point, and as we do we have another squad moving in from the south to help our assault. We ran into some defences and razor wire...but nothing to serious. Capping the flag,we would have some sporratic fire, then it would be quiet for a time. I happened to check my map,and our rally had been taken out..so I moved into the woods of where I thought was a safe place for my guys to spawn on me. Nowhere was safe, they executed me...then preceded to clear outpost with withering crossfire. We got surrounded, and had to retreat back to River Fort where we remained defending one determined assault after another until the rounds end. Even though we didn't get best squad,if it werent for these guys I'm sure River Fort would of fallen, and we would of lost before anybody else could of got there (this is after they cleared outpost like a slaughtering house).

Re: Qwai,7 Gates

Tonight was a stellar night for gaming, I thought.

Started out I believe with Kufrah Oilfields, where I was in a 3-man Tank squad with BigGayAl leading the way. There were a few questionable moments on my part, like shooting down friendly supply crates airdropping in, and that one time I lagged out so bad I hadn't even realized I hopped out of the tank (as the gunner) and got shot down. But we did handle ourselves rather well, holding off the southern border of the map of enemy armor and infantry coing up from the enemy main.

Kashan Desert, 32p:
At the beginning of the map I joined an Air (chopper) squad with WAREHOUSE but with 2 attack choppers (and an unused transport) with six men was a bit unwieldy. We performed a spectacular airdrop capture of south Village (what else are ya gonna do with six pilots?) and switched to tank formations around the Bunker complex, but eventually I made up a new squad to help the CO with his assets. After riding around in a jeep and realizing he wasn't making any assets my squad filled up so I switched to a defensive position in South Bunker. There was a bloody marvelous assault and we held on for dear life, giving the other squads the opportunity to move on North Bunker. With that finally taken we cleared out the middle bunker complex while the rest of the team moved on North Village, where we followed to shortly after. Once *that* fell we headed off to the last flag, the US one in the south(?) in a Vodnik with sniper/marksmen giving superb overwatch and spotting. Ended up a great round.

River Quai...what can I say, that was an amazing round. My squad (which I was leading again) performed many interdiction maneuvers, heading up between the active CP and enemy reinforcements. We spent a lot of time fighting for the southern bridge while our countrymen were capping Government Office, then moved across to guard the southern flank of Fishing Village. Later on there was much fighting over the Local Temple and our trusty APC was doing massive damage from the water. At the end there was a lot of back-and-forth between temple, Fishing and Estate but we stayed on our toes the entire time and showed up wherever we were needed.

Seven Gates - aah, that was very nearly a disaster. i tasked my squad with defending River Fort the entire round. Did a good job, too, till about halfway through when I pointed out "Looks like all the fighting is at Outpost...let's not get sloppy here though, keep your eyes open and guns ready." Ten seconds later, an enemy squad rappels over the northern wall and takes us all out. i hadn't even realized they'd cleared out Outpost! Luckily what was left of the other squads all fell back to River Fort and we had time to rally up and move back across the river and hold off the final advances. The round ended rather abruptly, it seemed to me, but I was rather glad seeing as how easily I had been pantsed.

I would love to call out some of the squadmates who stuck with me for several rounds; they all performed admirably but my memory is like a sponge (it gets squeezed dry every five minutes) and my screenshots never show up anymore.

Re: Qwai,7 Gates

Bellhade, were you the one in our squad that asked us to look where you were shooting because you saw something strange. LOL. We were all at the west(?) wall like idiots when they appeared.

Of course, technically, the flag was not cap-able, and it should not have been assaulted until Outpost went down(at least there was no "D" symbol on it).

It was a great round. Now if someone can just tell me how to get up the east stairs on river fort from the river....

Re: Qwai,7 Gates

It takes alot of jumping, sprinting, and some more jumping. Theres a certian place to go up the slope...and an spot about the size of a finger that you can run/jump up. Its something you have to see, can't describe the effort.

Actually belhade,if I remember right...after we got cleared out at outpost,we had nobody in the area, but the flag was still ours...might as well of been theirs already. In my opinion, its alright to jump one flag ahead under circumstances like that. Now,if we had a tighter defence at outpost....they should of had no reason to move up.

I had seen Kashan should nearly be over (judging by kills and scores on the server list),so I came in late in this round. I joined up in your squad about the time yall were finishing up defending the south bunker and moving out to clear the rest of the complex. Taking the Outpost was a breeze with no enemy armor support for them, and the round ended shortly after.
