Sounds like you had a good round, what did you do to achieve this?

I'm assuming that's from Project Reality. And ya, they tweaked the scoring system on the latest patch.

Re: First 10,000 point round

Its slightly off at the moment, they'll adjust it some more no doubt.

I think I'll repost this screenshot to a regular bf2 thread elsewhere and kick up a ruckus!

Re: First 10,000 point round

I got an amazing score once just from firing on a bunker that had someone hiding behind rebuilding it every time I knocked it down (I could only see the top not the base)

Hey hey hey

We ran around the map like idiots trying to get to 10,000 points at the end, and we succeeded with three tickets left!

Holy crap! Those are some impressive kill numbers. The squad had more than half of the other team's total! What map was this on?

If I'm not mistaken that was Qwai River during the last p/w night. Look no further than the Mine which they promptly got control of at game start. Quite honestly, while that is an excellent tactic it really sucks the fun out of the map for the US side. A good group of defenders with automatic weapons can hold for a while.

yup that was us that was hiding out at mine most of the round. You can tell by my deaths that I was one of the wenches who had to keep the door shut

I remember this game, well played but I have to agree with Bernout and I hope its changed in future versions.
If you think about each sides strengths on this map, the mobility of usa is wasted on a base like mine

i think the best thing the map developers can do is to take out that land bridge connecting estate to mine, the way that the Chinese get there faster than the USA is kind of ridiculous. If the USA had a chance to get in and fortify their position instead of the Chinese just beating them there no matter how fast the American's get there would help the map greatly

Re: First 10,000 point round

I thought similar, that they should take out the spawn or the vehicles at estate maybe.

The problem with removing that land bridge is that it would have implications beyond just Mine because their would only be two destroyable bridges then.
For some reason every map that has bridges that can be destroyed, always has at least one crossing that cant be.

Prehaps it could be moved further south or made less flat like on OGT

Re: First 10,000 point round

I would actually love to see a bridge based map where the objective to defend a bridge. A homage to the classic AA map "Bridge Crossing"

Blowing Bridges is a great feature especially in PR.
