Re: First Impressions?
Impoissible with Bf2 engine, I believe :-/
Also, I know alot of you dont like how much armor there is. But really, the African campaign was armor dominated. Is it exageratted in this mod? Yes, a bit. But infantry still caps the flags and defends. Tanks are beasts to take down but usually there are anti tank emplacements around flags.
I am a hardcore player of PR and I do appreciate the armor, surprisingly enough. With the ability to have infantry riding on your back, I forsee a tactic I'll be employing with my fellow devils: Mechanized infantry. Have your infantry pile into your tank and maybe an armored car to tag along and you'll dominate every flag.

Re: First Impressions?
Nothing to see here. Move along...Or everyone gets dominated by an enemy tank or AT emplacement
Putting ideas like that into other peoples minds could be dangerous.

Re: First Impressions?
Everytime I ride on the back of a tank, I get taken out by small arms fire or a plane before we even get within walking distance of a flag. Weve made it once or twice, but if a plane sees you on a tank, its time to get the hell off and run.
Otherwise, I really like this mod. Its no PR, but I do get some good TW on the TG server sometimes. The battles feel more "epic" as well. They are both going to stay in my lineup.
I love the suppressive fire effects, makes for more of a firefight than a take long shots and hope for a hit. Im looking forward to watching this mod progress.

Re: First Impressions?
I like this mod alot. Its kind of weird but it reminds me of Armed Assault in terms of the engagement range. Better be on your toes and keeping watch. Easy to let enemy infantry and armor move in and wipe you out....
BigGayAl and I defended one flag on the El Alamein (sp?) map a couple of nights ago...we were both engineers and kept the access points mined and the AT guns up and firing...we did well and had lots of fun...Two squads and a concerted effort on defense would be tough to beat.|TG-1st|Grunt

Re: First Impressions?
The current maps/setting is great, but I really cannot wait for the Eastern and to a lesser extent the Western front. I think those will be the reason I keep BF2 installed on my PC
