Widescreen?
I added "+szx 1680 +szy 1050 +widescreen 1" to my command line, but it doesn't seem to be having any effect - anyone else got a custom resolution to work?

Re: Widescreen?
Yeah I tried "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\FH2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050"
But since the exe still is different from POE, I don't know, its very similar to Vanilla BF2 though.
POE2's "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +modPath mods/poe2 +ignoreAsserts 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050"|TG-12th|Undead

Re: Widescreen?
yeah - it turns out that it WAS working all along - it's just that the custom menus for some reason look unusually terrible
maybe its the font they used or something...

Re: Widescreen?
There is an easy way to see if it works (at least on PR for sure). Just take your binocs. On widescreen you should see the game world to the sides of the black field that forms the binoc view.

Maybe this little software could help:

Re: Widescreen?
BF2 doesn't really support widescreen. I tried to get mine running at 1920x1200, but the game looked terrible. It was MADE for only 4:3 aspect ratio... else you get stretched menus and graphics. True widescreen support would give you more visibility on the sides, but BF2 doesn't do that.
So I just set on my video card that I want to use Nvidia's scaling to properly size the video on my screen to 1600x1200 when I play. Works fine, and no need for silly widescreen if the game doesn't support it I say

Re: Widescreen?
Type this in the target box
+restart +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
mine works like that got it off the FH2 forum

Re: Widescreen?
You forgot "+restart 1" the value 1 there. Perhaps just a typo. It will cut out intro movies.
