Mini map problem

I am having a problem with my minimap, no matter which direction I face my minimap tells me that I am looking North. The dial does not spin and my FOV cone always points at 12 o'clock.

I've going into the options to try and change the minimap settings, but I am not able to toggle anything as both static and map rotation are selected. Take a look at the screen shot:

I haven't t started poking around in the config files yet, is there an easy fix?

Re: Mini map problem

I think they purposely locked it, its annoying. I want it back to the way I'm use to it, unlocked.

Re: Mini map problem

You guys use rotating map?

I never liked rotating map (unlocked) simply because you cannot tell people where something is N, S, E, W of a flag... for reference purposes. If you spin around, it is very easy to get disoriented in my opinion.

They probably made it static/locked because of the arty system.

Re: Mini map problem

My map moves, but the indicator for which direction I am facing does not, it points due North and never budges. In order for me to figure out which direction I am facing, I need to open the map itself and see which way I'm pointed in there. I'll post a video of it the next time I'm in the game.

same... I keep the map static and watch my guy move. That's how I use a map IRL too - when you guys are driving/hiking, do you spin the map upside-down and all around?

Same here. I find it very difficult to easy figure out which way I am facing, and also holding a course.

Can't work out how to have several different images [such as banners and ribbons] in the signature, so I will drop that project for now...

Caesar counted on his veteran Gaul legions. Napoleon had his Old Guard. Queen Victoria was well served by the Cold Stream Guards. Tactical Gamer can always rely on the
6th Devil's Brigade.
