Talking Fh2 Night

I thought I would propose 7 pm est Friday, April 25th as a TG FH2 get together.

We should practice for D-Day.

Still no patch, right? I mean, the original server files are still good, I presume..

Re: Fh2 Night

I tried this a few days on a public server and WOW...

It was MUCH worse than I remembered it... could have just been the players online at the time though..
They need to make some MAJOR changes to this mod for me to consider playing again, but maybe with the right people it would be ok?

Re: Fh2 Night

Yeah, I have been playing a few rounds over the last couple of days (its nice to play something "light" when one does not have the time to devote a few hours to PR), and its worse than vanilla. No coordination, no teamwork. Just a bunch of guys running around. I did at one point feel that it was a shame that TG [as a whole] took a liking to FH2 because I believe that the mindset of TG would have helped this mod greatly. I am sure TG-people could make this mod fun. Perhaps some of us should give it a try after the patch?

I will see if I can make it. If that would be the case, where?

Well, the fact that there are at least 2 tournaments which have been advertised here would suggest that it works well for more organized play. In a pubbie environment with little coordination however, it is definitely painful, especially with how few AT weapons are available to infantry.

I'm hoping the patch will encourage people here to give it another go, especially if it introduces a new theater besides the icky desert warfare.

Great. Looking forward to it.

Wow, this place looks nicer since my last post nearly two years ago!

True. One opinion that one might have is that chosing a series of desert maps to launch the mod wasn´t really the best choice of the devs. :/
