Add destructible buildings with ruble providing varying cover and team work would become more important.
excellent ideas, sometimes the other guy wins just because he has played the map more often which can make for poor gameplay. Knowing the terrain is fine but not down to the exact foot

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

Anyone heard anymore news about BF3? I thought with E3 coming up there would at least be some type of news or rumor.

This is sweet, what a shame, they are giving it out to Vista and Mac only.
Vista is ok, but MAC.... what where they thinking?

What's wrong with MAC support?

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

What IS wrong is Vista support.

There are a LOT of gamers who aren't running Vista...

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

That video that is supposed to be BF3 may not be. I see a lot of resemblance to Call of Duty in there and some of BF in it as well. The look is almost like CoD4 right now. The video never really says what game it is, at least I didn't hear it cause I have to keep the speakers down ATM(wife sleeping). Anyway, if it is BF3 it looks like it is going to a great game. I guess EA/DICE are wanting people to have singleplayer now, BF Bad Company actaully has a decent singleplayer in it, that amazed me. Also a lot of people was thinking that the video Sabre posted above was of BF:BC but I never seen anything like that in my game, so sure it is not BF:BC. Plus you travel around with the same 4 guys, you play as Preston Marlo(or something like that), and Sweetwater and Haggard plus the Sarge. If they say the Sarges name I can't remember it.

Interesting video. If anyone knows who the guy talking is, it might tell us who makes the game.

I'm disappointed that we didn't get info at E3. I think its over right?

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

Guys...common,we all know EA...IF their is a bf3 comming,it will not come before 2009 (and i'm betting summer)...

and IF it will come,it will be buggy as hell not to mention the need for vista...

that means that anyone hwo dont have atleast an extreme cpu or a quad core, with the latest major nvidia card and overblown ram, will probably have to see the game in trailers

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

Yep I estimate next year June or maybe xmas, could be even later then that though. They havent even released heroes yet and that was just a mod of the bf2 engine

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

BF heroes is the game I am really waiting for. That is what the series needs, a comical turn to get everybody laughing their butts off. What I have seen of all the trailers they look awesome. Go there almost everyday to see if any news on the release date.
Hopefully TG will be in on this, almost to big not to be. BF3 may be out later this year, EA may be just trying to keep things hush, hush so they get a lot of slack and get in a hurry to release it. I would rather them do a lot of testing and tweaking rather than get a game full of bugs. BUT we all know EA/DICE.... they will push it out the doors to make a dollar as quickly as they can which means not much testing and tweaking went on and full of bugs.

Re: Battlefield 3...in '08?

EA dont do hush Anyway they wont compete against themselves, heroes is a money making venture and it'll only succeed with the maximum amount of customers.

Plenty of bf2 players will call heroes bf3
