BF2 CD key LOST!

A couple months after restarting my computer i had an urge to play BF2. I popped the CD in and guess what, I can't find my CD jacket that has the CD Key on it. So, after days of searching, ive given up, I lost my CD Key. Anyone got some advice for me? what should i do? Thanks!

Re: BF2 CD key LOST!

Or, you could just call EA and tell them what happened and they will give you a Key. It is mighty simple, I had to do that for a older game (Black Hawk Down).

Re: BF2 CD key LOST!

If by chance you could check around on EA's site and maybe your account you created for BF2 will show you your CD KEY. I had to do this once before till I found the manual with the CD KEy on it. I will say it did some searching around to get to the page for the account though. They do keep this on record and available. Should be the same exact log in and password you had for BF2.
Also if you buy a new BF2 with a different CD KEY you will have to start all over cause the new CD KEY will not allow you to transfer any of your old log in and password info over.

Nope, I just had to buy a new copy of the game and my account is still active. You use the same account but just use a different cd-key.

This info IS CORRECT. I lost mine and just found it on the EA SUPPORT page.

Go here
http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg...p_sid=l2wa5ITi

login under the "my stuff" area

then click on "my games" under the same spot

then login using your EA master screenname

click on the my games tab, every game you registered with EA under the same master account screen name is listed! Nice!

Re: BF2 CD key LOST!

There should be a sticky about this, especially since ea now encrypts the registry key that has the code in it.

Wow nice find, I wish I knew about this earlier as it would have saved me $10.

Re: BF2 CD key LOST!

Haha. I had misplaced mine as well and my wife would not let me buy another copy. That is how I found out about the EA Support and got my CD Key, found my manual with the CD KEy the very next day looking for another games CD Key to install, lol.
I also agree that the link with the title of Lost CD-Key? should be made into a sticky then locked. Will help a lot of other people out. Of course this is only good for any EA game.
