Battlefield 3?
Okay, before someone chimes in that BF3 = Battlefield: Bad Company...I have this to say: NO. BF:BC is console only. As far as I could find through Google, BC isn't BF3, but there is "supposedly" a BF3 coming to PC based on the Frostbite engine.
Here's my question: Does anyone have a link to this supposed knowledge that there is a BF3 for PC (based on Frostbite engine)? I can't seem to find one and all I keep finding is misinformation 6 months out-of-date and speculation.

Re: Battlefield 3?
Battlefield: Heros is the next PC installment that I am directly aware of. I guess TF2 impressed them and they decided to make a "me too". It may be great, we'll see. interestingly enough, here is the next thing we can expect from DICE EA, http://www.on-mirrors-edge.com/index...tpage&Itemid=1 and it is nothing that I ever expected to see from them. I guess going to the same well too often is not a good thing, either. I'd take a BF hiatus without much complaint. There is still so much that the current releases have to offer us in terms of mods (both current and future) that there really is no GREAT need for a new BF. DICE can always come back to the franchise after a while and implement the best comcepts of whatever comes out in the near future.

Re: Battlefield 3?
I saw that article several months ago and it still just seems like a bunch of rumors. I really do hope that it is real but we still have yet to hear a peep out of EA about any game like this. 40vs40 battles with destructible environments would be insane!

Re: Battlefield 3?
I would fully expect by the end of the round for most of the map to be a wasteland. I guess it depends on what all it will take to blow up things and how much those items are used. The scortched earth will certainly add to the game feeling.

Re: Battlefield 3?
Now imagine that engine, 40 players per team, with fully destructable buildings and all the support features it may have that battlefield didnt. Project Reality would be so kickass on that engine.
