How big is your interest in this? How big is your interest in vBF2?

Post here if you want to play it and can't wait to see it officially started!

2142 implemented squad based mechanics that BF2 should have had which makes the overall playing experience much better in 2142. The two major BF2 mods, PR and PoE, have taken the BF2 engine to the extremes and made those two games so much more enjoyable than the original, "vanilla", version will ever be. Each mod has a different play style, to be sure, PoE catering to a more twitch, action oriented teamwork gameplay and PR catering to a much, much more realistic style of gameplay with squad play and coordination a must in order to survive. I like both mods alot for different reasons but would never in a million years ever go back to "vanilla".

I don't dislike vanilla, I just don't really like it either. I have a friend who plays vBF2 quite a lot, so I sometimes play with him.

Compared to PR, 2142 or PoE2, Vanilla is meh.

I'd like to see some larger games with more TGers on the server, at the moment the largest I've seen is 6/7 a side, with maybe 3/4 TGers on each team.

Seeing as how I have only played vanilla BF2 on random pubbie servers with my neighbors (who don't play w/ teamwork), I would be glad to see how a round would be with some TG in the house!
