Is there any good reason NOT to do this?

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

Re: server rule: squad required?

Interesting idea. That could be good and bad.

Are we limited to the number of squads? We could have 64 one man squads.... would someone join a squad to appease the rule but then not work with the squad? Just food for thought... but I do like the idea.

Re: server rule: squad required?

There should definatly be a rule to be in a squad.

Running around on your own doesnt help anyone.

Re: server rule: squad required?

there is every reason, this game is Horrid if people aren't playing the way it's supposed to be played. If it were me i'd make it so you had to choose a squad to join the game.

It was absolute chaos on the server when it opened up so public people could join.

Re: server rule: squad required?

yea its a good idea all you have to do is find someone you get along with and form a squad. It should be required though for another couple weeks after the real game comes out.

Absolutely! If you are not in a squad, you cannot communicate.

Re: server rule: squad required?

We need to make sure people in squads communicate as well, I was just in 3 different squads and none of them communicated or worked together, it seems only the TG and TGS people actually do that.

Re: server rule: squad required?

I dont think squad required is what we really need to push, we need to push mic required. Push mic required and squads will form up automatically because anyone with a mic knows the advantage of having one, especially in battlefield 2.

Mic required won't fly.

Trust me. I've been down that road.

Re: server rule: squad required?

I don't think we should require mics we don't on the NS server or CS server or any TG server I have been on so far why start now.

Re: server rule: squad required?

All for the squad requirement...

...also would be for a autoban on any ratbastard helicopter pilot who thinks it cool to hover low over a flag to capture the base, versus actually landing and doing it the correct way. (Sorry, people were ticking me off with this "tactic" all night.)

Re: server rule: squad required?

If I find an enemy helicopter low at the ground, he gets a facefull of grenade launcher. What I would love to see would be some system to vote people off squads, and out of squad leader position.

Re: server rule: squad required?

I think squads should be a requirement. But there should be a squad for people who want to go off on their own (if that type of player is helpful to the game (snipers?)).

A squad requirement helps control those who are either new (and dont want to learn) or don't want to play as a team.

Re: server rule: squad required?

I think hovering to capture a flag is perfectly valid.
