A couple of times I've been on ranked servers and invited guys to check out TG. There was this one dude who was a really good squad member and CO. I invited him over to TG and I saw him in game that night but have never seen him ever again.

But we should really go out and preach TG. We already do an excellent job of welcoming people to our forums who post.

Does anyone have any idea of how to advertise? Go onto games forums etc could work but you may get flammed for 'spamming'.

I thought that maybe we should get a couple of TG guys to go join a random pubbie server and start a squad called 'TEAMWORK'. The two TG guys would be in the same squad and could show the new guys how much fun teamwork actually is and then point them toward tacticalgamer.com.

Whatcha think??

IMO it's bad ethics to go on somebody elses server and start pimping your server. If somebody asks you specifically what TG is (assuming you're tagged or some-such) then go ahead and make a referral, but advertising on somebody elses server is bad form, and will usually just get you kicked/banned.

My style is to ask my target for a screenname where I can contact them privately after I leave the server. It's intimate, gives me a direct audience with the player, and leaves my "spam" off the other server.
