A skull says to me "This person can have any kit we need right this second". That's BETTER than showing the kit they had when they died, IMO.

There's plenty of potential within that interface to both indicate that a squad member is dead and to display what kit with which they're about to spawn.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Ah, so you just want letters added to the minimap?

Wait, I think I remember seeing a client option to make the minimap always orient North, or to spin so that it always orients on the player. Why anyone would not want a north-oriented map is beyond me...

Big one:

Voice comm to allow Pilots of Jets AND Heli's to communicate. I can't count the times i've been in a dog-fight and I needed support.

Also improve the sniper scope. I literally have the friggin crosshairs on thier body, and I shoot, and it somehow misses... very bad scopes.. too innaccurate

Waypoints for Squad Leaders (if these exist please tell me).

Telling players to just "attack here" is a little vague. I'd like to be able to write down a plan that gets them to cross the railroad tracks and stop in the gas station at waypoint 1, move along the wall and then attack from waypoint 2 on the hill behind the Hotel. Players don't always hear or understand (or in my case I tend to trail off into gibberish while shooting) information from the mic. This would give squads a plan that joining members can see (without needing to be told) and something concrete to do if the Squad Leader gets killed.

Please cooked nades, nades are not nearly as effective as they should be without this..
no military based FPS should be released withtout this feature,theres simply no excuse for this anymore..

and a grid coordinate sytem would be nice, the maps are too big to describe every location/

A couple of improvements (some of these maybe in the game already)

1) Squad Nicknames. Still being known on the system as Alpha etc.. but be able to give a nickname, so that you don't have to go through all the squads to find the one you want when joining.

2)Similar and mentioned before Dedicated Squad types available. Or the Commander chooses the squad types(Predefined or custom) and the people joining can only fill those slots.

3) Making it clear when your squad mate dies, like an automated voice message: Alpha one is down, and displaying a message to the same effect in the middle/top of the screen with the name of the team member. Its sometimes a bit frantic to read all the kills when in battle.

4) Teams having a short time before the beginning of the match to setup or dig in.

The ability to turn off the chat spam that accompanies things like medics handing out medpacks.

#1 is already available -- players have already begun using them.

#3 Yes, more visible information in general would be great. There is so much on the screen, that it's hard to take the time to look up to read anything at all.

#4 This would be fantastic. I think there should be a commander in charge before the round even starts.

No no, I want a dial that spins as you turn, that doesn't affect the map, that shows you what direction you're currently facing. Currently, unless you know your way around the map rather well, you only know what direction you're facing by looking at the minimap and searching for the V field of view indicator that extends out from the dot that represents you. I want a quick reference thing that I can look at and see a big W that tells me I'm currently facing west. If you guys have ever played MechWarrior 4, the compass at the top center of your cockpit is what I'd like to see.

Also, I would like structures on the map to be more detailed/defined when you enter full map mode. Last night my squad constantly got into firefights in the most non-standard places on the map, and it was frustrating trying to place artillery calls by structures that I could see with my eyes but were only slight discolorations on the map.

Just dedicate one person on your squad to "member cardinal orientation reporting". All he does is sit in UCB with his mini-map up and constantly reports over voicecomm the cardinal direction that each member of the squad is facing, in real-time.

A dedicated AA trooper would be nice and missles that seek better. Granted I do know the MEC gets the tunguska.

Make it so that you don't get killed by being run over so easily. I understand dying when you are full out run over, but I've run up to the side of a moving vehicle and barely tapped it only to end up dead. It's pretty rediculous; I've been hit by a car in real life harder than that and didn't even bruise.
