That's... not the emoticon I would have chosen, given your sentence.

I'm all for being friendly, here, but there is such a thing as taking it too far.

Oh well. At least you didn't end your sentence with a colon.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.

I've gotta agree that this server is a kick ass example of how a game like this is meant to be played. Last night was one of the best gaming nights I've had in a long time. Luckily I landed right off in SmokingTarpan's squad and indeed he lives up to his press. You can bet I'll be haunting your server from here on.

Your choice of words resonates with a motto Tactical Gamer used to (and no longer does) use: play the game the way it's meant to be played.

Welcome, eggsquatch!

Re: Very tight server, good job

I tried 67.19.26.150 and it reported as full just now.

I heard about this site via someone's signature on TotalBF2.com, I think. I'll try the server again later tonight.

Re: Very tight server, good job

I had a great game working in Tarpan's squad, especially getting shelled by my own artillery while sniping the MEC troops attacking it in an attempt to save it. But right as I got hit by a shell Comcast dropped my connection for 8 hours, 6th time this week I've lost all internet access this week. Sadly I now have a 2 hour limit on the computer (which I devote almost all of to BF2) which if I go over I can't get on the next day, and I did, so I won't be on tommorow. But I'll be on again soon, and I'll probably get out of the time limit sooner or later. See ya in the game.

I was under Tarpan's command tonight, and I must say its nice

Normally I feel the drag of time, but under him you're always busy.

Agreed. The specific mini-tasks are really quite a nice bonus (except for "Plink, take point" and "Plink, clear that building" and "Plink, pop your head over that wall and see what's on the other side"...hehe, j/k).

I really can't wait till we get the bigger maps and (hopefully) more time to coordinate. I'm looking forward to more use of the specific classes within the squad and even whole squad configurations for different missions. Good stuff.

Re: Very tight server, good job

Yea, I'll be quite happy once the time limit can be removed. Right now, I feel forced to pull "Rush short A!" kinds of attacks because I don't get the time to survey the situation and plan things the correct way. My style of tactics has always been using slow, careful and hidden movements to get everyone into specific positions before launching an attack, and 12min rounds just don't afford that.

Buddy, you did an awesome job! I can't imagine how sweet it's going to be once the commanders learn the system and we get bigger maps and more server-side options, like removing the time limit.

Re: Very tight server, good job

Ahh, so the time limit is locked on this demo? Bombaye and I were talking this morning, wondering why the games were so short. Aside from that, we spent a good half hour raving about the night. We musta re-hashed 10 different skirmishes and chewed over some of the USMC guys that gave us trouble. I'm sure he'll be drop by to register before the end of the day.

And I must agree with Plink and Kark, another great job last night from ST.
